What have you done to your MS3 today?

Toyota will probably not have a performance model like subaru might try to do. a brz sti would be nice. If toyota (scion) were to do anything im sure it would be the trd division that wouod offer some sort of forced induction kit to be installed by the dealer (like they used to do for the tc)

its so funny to see "toyota" and "subaru" on part of the intake plenum under the hood. i thought the entire engine was subarus but aparently toyota helped withthe induction and fuel delivery stuff. its ported AND direct injection.

I think in the grand scheme of things having injectors both ported and direct can be used much like variable valve timing. i think duty cycles during different rpm and load change between the 2.

it would be sweet to run them on separate fuel tanks and have one run regular gas and the other run e85 or something.

Gave it a wash, claybar-ed and polished the hood, filled a number of chips with touch up, removed side moldings, debadged, and wrapped the hood in matte black vinyl

In regards to the vinyl wraps, if there are any existing dents will it show up on the wrap as well? Ive got hail damage and most are very small, but im wondering if theyd transfer through the vinyl

Id hate to do a cf wrap, but aside from a body shop or complete replacement of the hood and roof i dont have many cost effective options. a cf wrap, or somethibg patterned, would probably hide the small dents better than than a solid color

Yes all the dents will show because its just wrapping to the existing panel. Just like a dented cake pan, the cake will have a dent too. However like you said, the texture of the CF may slightly disguise it to the eye, I'm not sure, its worth a try. I know the matte black I used will show it tho.

Does it have to be "today", or can it be "recently"?? Cause I just added a good bit of mods to my list over the past couple of weeks :)

Even posting that question doesn't satisfy the topic of the thread so you have to take it elsewhere... :D

So my SURE ShortCut shift plate just came in today. I Went ahead and installed it real quick. Notice I placed COBB shifter weight on top of the plate to prevent contact between shifter weight and COBB FMIC piping tube. The ShortCut definitely shorten the throws between shifts. Any shorter throws than what ShortCut allows and you can expect clutch popping out of gears. Neat product. I like.

While install I notice the recirculation tube got damage. I modified it and knew it was a tight fit but din't expect it to damage like this. Anyways, people at SU must be loving me right now (placed an order) lol.

Mine did that, too...

Installed a boost gauge damper/restrictor because my needle tended to flutter quite a bit at higher boost levels. Looks like this solved the issue. Sweep is nice and fast like it was before. So, overall I'm ecstatic that it worked.

My recirc tube has had a whole in it for probably 6 months. I need to order a new one sometime :)

So I'm considering moving from Koni Yellows + H&R to coilovers. I absolutely loved the BC's on my P5 when I had them on and was looking into them for the 3 as well. What would my current setup be worth on the market today? Koni Yellows, H&R springs, FatCat bumpstops. 35k miles on it all and 33k of that is all straight highway miles from when the car was my daily commuter.

$100-ish for the springs (that's what I bought mine used for a year or so ago). Probably $300-400 for the Konis I'd bet.

After autocrossing my Speed3 it makes me want to upgrade too. :)

I went to the local dealer yesterday to do a little prank on my sister, who was picking up her new cx5. long story short i was able to spook her with the fake snake i put in the arm rest

Anyway, my dad was asking the dealer about a front plate bracket (i feel so bad for ppl in states that require front tags, since im not in one of them). i assured my dad that the bumper didnt necessarily need to be drilled. i showed him the cutout for the towage strap during travel accross the ocean, same one the ms3 and im sure every other boat-going mazda has. i showed him how i fabricated a bracket out of mine and that i could do the same for hers.

he kept insisting that little circle of plastic was where a sensor was located. cant remember what sensor he thought it was. oh well.

im definitely jealous because she got a good trim level to include nav, xenons, moon roof, and the 40-20-40 rear seat. She also go it in metro gray. i told her i was going to one-up her by getting the gt
