I would've done it if I weren't at the wrong end of the state. The problem is that they need to borrow the car several times, for several days on each occasion. I told my friend, who has a Mz2 and lives in LA, about it, but he got in touch with TEIN and the times they wanted the car weren't possible for him.

s*** if it wasn't so inconvenient I would drive all the way there. Haha

I can definitely see where the issue with time would get in the way, but the words FREE TEIN SUSPENSION would motivate me. :)

the word FREE is a good motivation but for them to want a car on specific time of the day and its jsut a FREE SPRING not worth it. i actually posted this on a local forum so they are aware of it. most of my friends that still lives in socal is actually by downey, gardena area but most of em has tein already. oh well i guess

The whole disclaimer about not being guaranteed to get suspension when it's said and done is disappointing, though. I bet that even if you do, it'll be a few months at minimum, and probably a year or more, since they have to actually put the suspension into production before you'll get some of your own. Besides, TEIN's springs aren't exactly known for being performance options, they're more of the "lowering spring" variety, and my friend is much more inclined toward a low-profile performance suspension. (Which is why, after driving mine, he immediately ordered a set of Racing Beat springs.)

Oh man, I can't wait to put a poorly valved strut on my econo-hatch so my tailbone will be grounded into the finest of fine powders.

So I'm not the only one who thinks TEIN has the worst valving ever? Seriously, even K-Sports are better. Although I can't speak for the serious track-grade TEINs, I've never run anything higher end than their various "tuner" level suspensions.

My opinion these days is that coilovers are useful on very few applications. You're better off with a good spring/shock combo, and I'd rather have a properly set up fixed damping shock than an adjustable one with a generic cartridge in it. The ability to adjust ride height seems cool but I don't know many people who ever do it more than once, and not that many people are running properly preloaded setups in their street cars so that's not that useful either. I'll admit that I'd like to try the Bilstein coilovers, though.

I agree on the tein valving vs spring combo and no guys it goes all the way up the chain to the full race coilovers. I went with Ksports over Bilsteins because I thought they came with camber adjustment. Oh well, make my own camber adjustment I suppose.
