What have you done to your MS3 today?

chewed thru my reverse lockout guide...anyone selling a shifter base plate (the thing the actual shifter sits in)

I just texted a local who's a member on here asking if he still has his stock assembly. He upgraded to the twm. I'll let you know what he says.

I ordered Hawk ceramics this morning from ebay and I have rotors at work waiting for me. Ugh, that's an expense I didn't want to have to endure. I can hear the rotors rubbing on something metal as I drive. I'm hoping I don't go excessively metal to metal and **** my calipers before I have a chance to dig into them later this week. Like, Tues-Wednesday.

I'm that local guy! Work stopped me from checking, but I'll see what shifter parts I have and shoot you a PM. I'm pretty sure I kept everything from the stock assembly when I replaced it with TMW's stuff. I'll let you know tomorrow or Monday at the latest. (Damn working on the weekends)

No problem. He said he will get on tonight and check out this thread.

What is the bedding procedure?

30-0 5 times 75% braking force
45-0 same thing
60-0 same thing

each set should be done one right after the other and you need to let off the brakes just before you stop. then park but dont put the parking brake up

Drove it 7.8 miles to work, drove it 7.8 miles home. Tryin' to stay outta the turbo and shifting early to see what kind of commute mileage I can get. Sure ain't no fun, but it may be interesting. :D

i did that for a couple of tanks when gas was 4.49/gal for 93 octane; my commute is almost exactly the same as yours down to the tenth; i was able to eek out 26mpg; it was BORING and I had to use herculean restraint on occasion when passed by rice.

All that is what I'm thinnin'. Doubt if I can get 26 mpg. I think 24 mpg is 'bout the best I can expect. So, I could expect to save around $.50/day. I drive it four days a week - that's $2.00/wk,. $8/month. Dang! In 2,000 years, I could retire!

exactly; the cost difference is not worth it. To eek out the 26mpg, i did a lot of coasting on my way into work which happens to be at an hour that most people and cars are still at home.
