2003.5 build, maybe

Hi everyone new to the forum, I have a chance to buy a 2003.5 yellow speed body. I will need to add some parts to make it drivable. I can buy it for $1000 is it worth the trouble of building. See list below

Motor & trans (I'll put just a 2.0 in for now)
Struts
Front seats
Hood, trunk
Wheels

If you have lots of cash to blow and you want a project to work on for a few years that could result in a very rare and very fun car, then yes, pick it up.

But if you don't have a ton of cash, you can probably find one with a decent motor and transmission for $3-4k with minor issues.

I'm guess there was a ton of the 2003 mazdaspeed protege's, or where they some what limited in production. The guy also has a 2003 (orange color im guessing) what was that color.

There weren't exactly a ton, they made 4750 total including 03 and 03.5 models. 03s were Black Mica and Spicy Orange, 03.5s got Titanium, Sunlight Silver, Blazing Yellow and Lazer Blue.

Thanks for the numbers, I'm going to look at a yellow 2003.5 tomorrow. Anything I should be looking for or at if you know what I mean. Any idea how many yellow 03.5 I think I read somewhere there where 750 yellow in 2003.5
