Hi guys,

I noticed that the sun visor for the 2012 GS model is made of hard plastic and it sucks. Is the one found in GT version betteR? i.e. is it lined with cloth?

Also, since it's not extendable it's useless half the time when the sun's on the driver side of car. Is GT version extendable?

I'm pretty sure they are the same material. I have the GT (not luxury). Mine are also not extendable.

They are all the same. There is a reason this car is so cheap...the interior definitely shows

Thanks for info guys. I'll measure the OEM one and see if I can find better alternative.

Wait, do you mean the sun visors in front of each passenger?

In my GT they are cloth wrapped, with a mirror in each one. I'm very surprised that yours are hard plastic.

Yes, the sun visors for the driver & co-driver hanging from the roof.

I don't mind the hard plastic so much as the fact that they do not extend. The windows on the side are quite large and the sun visor only covers half of that, which is useless 80% of the time.

ErikO... is your GT w/leather? My '12 GT w/leather (black) has hard plastic visors (grey).

My 5 is a GT without leather. I'm pretty sure they are cloth covered. Now you have me second guessing haha. I'll have to double check tomorrow and get back to you!

You're right; those things are worthless as sun shades. Just FYI, a strip of dark tint across the top of the windshield worked wonders for us. I think it cost ten or twenty bucks when I got the rest of the windows tinted.

That's a good idea, thanks for heads up! I'll have to check to see if it's legal in Canada.
