What have you done to your MSP today?

Just finished replacing both battery terminals (can't wait to get the 'maintenance' type things out the way, then I can start doing some performance and visual upgrades)

Lol its a 4 hour drive and I didn't spend all that time washing and waxing it to get bugs all over it. And stealth, no chop. Although it dies look like it

So, on my way to work this morning a ******* rock hit my windshield and BAM a nice little impact spread that'll most definitely turn into a thousand 3ft. cracks... FML

I also dropped my phone, face down, and BAM a million scratches across the screen... FML

I also allowed my credit card to be the community tab last night at the bar... FML and **** EVERYONE WHO DECIDED IT WOULD BE COOL TO ADD THEIR ******* DRINK TO IT!

Thats why we have insurance... I don't know about your plan or your state but its free here with no deductible with full coverage.

could be worse.. it could be broke

sucks to be you but your the one to blame for that one.

1. Liability only and Tennessee, unlike Florida, does not include that in coverage free of charge. Even if I did, the deductible is $200 and I can have the windshield replaced for $160.
2. A crack will inevitably turn into a "break" through heat expansion and chassis flex.
3. Actually the bartender and patrons are to blame- the bar requires a credit card to be held for a tab.

So today......

I did an oil change, (or more appropriately, an oil ADD) I removed the oil which was pitch black, and at that only about 1.5 quarts came out, so I'm glad I did this today, wish I would have done it the night I got the car. Though I have no oil leaks, i MUST be burning oil or something, I'll check back in 3,000 miles.

Spark plugs needed a nice change, the ones I took out were looking old and tired, and I checked the gaps just to see if the last owner knew what he was doing with this car and they were .40, but I gapped my new NGK's to .29

Cleaned Injen air filter

Pressurized my tires to 45 PSI, the fronts were at 30, my rear right was at 20 and the rear left was at 15, YIKES! I hope to see improvement in my fuel milage now!(drive)

The 12V cigarette lighter port wasn't working, but it was only unplugged (Sucks having to take the middle console apart just to reach that plug)

the PCV valve was really loose going into the valve cover. I was able to lift it off with my pinky figer without struggling. And also there was fresh oil around the cover where the valve goes. So I switched out the grommet with a new one and now the PCV valve fits tight.

Would've washed and waxed today, considering the beautiful weather, but it's supposed to rain tomorrow and for the next few day, so I'll wait to til next week for a wash.

I developed a misfire only when under boost, but the ECU wouldn't pick it up and cause a MIL, so even though the plugs had 6k on them I decided to replace them. When I removed them there was no sign of damage to the ceramic or worn electrodes. There was evidence of blow -by betwern the ceramic and the collar. I installed a new set of NGKs and the car ran awesome. And its been that way for the past three days, but tonight it started it again. This is my fourth set in 30,000 miles. The first set I replaced with platinum s, but switched them out for v-power NGKs. The V-Powers lasted about 15k miles and I developed a misfire after runningthe car hard on The Dragon and it causes the MIL to illuminated. I replaced all 4 . The bad plug had a crack in the ceramic. I went with the same plugs and they've lasted about 10,000 miles, then thyself when I started getting the misfire under boost. I went with a plug one heat range colder hoping this may help, but like I said they only lasted 3 days. I have new coils, new wires, new boots and I applied dialectric grease to them. Im currently running 12psi and have a custom tune on my SSAFC running low 11s above 4k and 10.4-10.7 up to that point. The plugs don't look to be damaged or worn at all, but corrects my misfire under boost. I have multiple ASE certifications, have been doing this professionally for 10 years and I can't seem to figure out the cause. Does anyone have any insight into this. Im going to go with Densos this time because its perhaps an issue with the NGKs only. I've always used NGKs in everything I've owned and my customers cars and I've never had this issue before. Any help is greatly appreciated because this is really bothering me. I don't care if I have to keep changing plugs every 5k, I just want to diagnose the cause of the premature failures.

Could you post a pic of the sparkplugs?

How has your coolant levels been?

I've already gotten rid of the plugs. Coolant level and condition is okay. I actually. Did a block test a month and a half ago just because I saw so many people on here having issues with cylinder head gaskets and it passed just in case you were thinking head gasket. And like I said, a visual inspection of the plugs didn't indicate a reason for failure.
