2012 Mazda5 Touring
Well the mazda 5 hasn't ever really been popular for the people not in the know (fine by me). It has been an Odyssey and Sienna world. However, I was waiting for the redesign and got the 2012 5 mid last year, and love it.

I would barely ever seen on the road.

However, the last month (don't know monthly sales numbers), I have been seeing a lot more around (and not the base stripped down Enterprise/Hertz rentals!).

Last two weeks I counted 7 black ones!! (not the same one 7 times).

Black minivans were never very popular (Odyssey just started offering black few years ago).

But I have been seeing TONS of black Mazda 5s--they look fantastic!!! If I didn't like my cars clean, I would have bought black too....they look so good the few mintues they stay clean.

Any of you been seeing more 2012 5s on the road and more blacks?

Haven't seen a single black 5 on the road North of the border. What with winter and all, black cars are basically a part-time job. Can imagine done up right, it would look pretty sweet tho.

Never saw one in Chicago. A promo pic of one looked pretty sweet, and we were going to check one out before our purchase, but SHE insisted on silver, and... I'm glad. The thing looks very nice, and doesn't show dirt - at least not like black. I've had my share of black cars (still have one) and while they look great when they are clean, they are rarely clean.

I rarely see any current generation Mazda5s around me. There's a Copper Red that I see every week or so near my work, and I think one of the local rental car companies has a Brilliant Black Sport, but beyond that I haven't really seen new 2012s.

Actually that was how I decided on the 5 - I rented one at O'hare Hertz for a road trip to Indy. That was so much better than the 5 minute drive around a dealership. It's great being so close to a big airport (with huge rental lots). I get to rent what I want instead of what the small lots make me take. I was going to rent one again for a company drive to Caterpillar in East Peoria. But something else at the lot caught my eye, and we took that one instead.

I mean the blue one. ;) And yes, it's the 5.0. Yum.

For the first time ran into a CR 2012 Touring in person. My cars exact twin.

Lots of blacks and lots of 2012s around Los Angeles last 2 months or so.
