Ive been on this site a while and some of the more experienced guys seem to suggest moving the MAF sensor from the stock location the CAI to whereever you guys move it lol. Ive read that this will improve the read on the sensore and help the car run better not exactly sure, dont know a whole lot about cars yet..still learning.

Anyways i wanted to start this thread cause i havnt seen any like it for the guys like me just learning. So if you have moved your MAF sensor and seen improvements on your MSP please share where you moved it and how maybe even some pictures. please and thank you.

I have a turbo P5 and when I relocated the MAF to after the bov it drove and sounded a heck of alot better. I would recommend it to anyone with a stock msp setup. It'll cost more to do it but it's worth it.

Thanks man you have any pics of your setup?

Check out the DIY ebay FMIC thread and the "Post your VTA/BOV setup" thread as well as others, there are pictures of people's setups. I have the MAF on the cold pipe because my BOV is VTA and as SpicedMSP said it would stall when I shift otherwise. Most people don't relocate the MAF on a stock car due to the fact the BPV is recirculated and you can't mount the MAF in the stock plastic cold pipe.

im thinking to do it too, but ive seen some threads of ppl having problems after relocating the MAF... and im really scared of screw my MAF =S

i think a lot of people just put it in backwards the first time... it looks symmetrical but you have to put it in the right way.

I bought a set of pipes and couplers to relocate with my turbolife and may eventually sell them. Gotta see how street tuning goes this summer.

Yes, with my old IC set-up in the stock location I had it before the bov on the cold pipe and it ran good too. But with my turbolife IC I left it on the intake and the motor runs good too. I haven't decided to hack my newer pipes yet..
I can understand that, so with the BOV VTA it doesn't stall at all? That's crazy the engine can compensate for the missing air that the MAF has accounted for.
