So as you know I have the yellow Lamin-X on my fogs as well as yellow bulbs. Well last night I met up with a few people in a parking lot and the po po swooped in like some crazy drug deal was going down, K-9 and all. Well when they told us to leave and I started the 2 and put the lights on, one of the retards came over and shined his mag light on my face and told me that my yellow fogs are illegal. I read the WV inspection codes last night and the only color it specifies that can't be on the front is red. I've been running yellow fogs for close to a decade on all my cars. And last time I checked some vehicles, ie: Lexus', come stock with yellow fogs. Anyone else(US) had any issue with this?

LOL... true. But im gonna print em off and just keep em in the car. So if he pulls me over I will hand him that after I hand him my license and concealed weapons permit. But don't get me wrong I have no real issue with police. Just really want to get to the bottom of this specific issue.

cops will screw u if u dont know anything. same sht happend to me before where i got pulled over by a cop pass his city limits. he toldme iwas speeding back there and i said sorry didnt notice it, so he added that i was racing and to pull out my registration when he saw my registration it was under my xwifes name due to her credit was better. at first i wasnt bother by him pulling me over cause if i was speeding. what threw me off was after looking at the registration he made a wise remark saying just because ur mom can buy u a BMW means u can drive it crazy. that threw me off and i said u know what officer the name on the registration is under my wifes name but im paying for it. and arrogantly i told the cop if ur gonna issue me a ticket go and issue the TICKET but u will have a hard time explaining urself to the judge cause i will contest the ticket cause as far as i know were in this such such city limits and this is out of ur jurisdiction. and if u are thinking of calling another cop in the same city/area u better think again cause i have this conversation under recording for my own protection incase u feel like u can ENTRAP me. with that said and done cop let me alone and everytime isee him i wave at him as an insult lol. going back to the foglights as far as i know fog lights are suppose to be YELLOW contrast to the WHITEFOG wont reflect back same reason y u dont use ur high beams on a foggy day.

According to several pages found on the internet, both the internationalised European ECE Regulation 19 and North American SAE standard J583 permit selective yellow front fog lamps.
Yellow lamps have several advantages, so i do not see why they should be illegal. The intent of selective yellow is to improve vision by removing shorter, blue wavelengths from the projected light, as these wavelengths are difficult for the human visual system to process properly, as well as causing perceived dazzle effects in rain, fog and snow and problems with glare.
So in conclusion: They may be either white or selective yellow
