I love my Mazda3 but every single time I get out...

I get goddamn shocked by static! E-V-E-R-Y damn time! It never fails! Doesn't matter what I'm wearing, doesn't matter where I go... every time I get out, as I touch the edge of the driver's door to close it, it shocks the piss out of me.

Am I the only one who has this happen to me?

FWIW I am an automotive tech and get in/out of cars all day long... never have I ever encountered anything as odd as this.

You car is sad that you leave it alone so it will shock you so you won't want to get out and will stay with it all the time :p

Happens to me everytime I get out of my MS3 or Protege on a dry day as well. I have found that if you touch something metal, such as the door sill, before you put your feet on the ground then I usually don't get shocked.

Definately does not happen that often to me. I don't even remember it happening, even if i'm wearing a North face or what not.

Brilliant! I did that today when I got to work, and when I got home... with great success!

Funny enough, I told my wife that someone said maybe it's getting sad when I leave it... then I told her about touching the door before stepping on the ground... her response?

"So your car wants you to touch it now huh?"

(rlaugh)

I sense jealousy (whistle)
