J&S Safeguard w/ harness, knock sensor, and 52mm gauge! $360: for any 4 cylinder engine. If you are worried about blowing your your block, this will put you at ease. It has two settings to choose from: Cruise OR Power. This is a set-it and forget it piece of electronics. Nothing to figure out once it's installed. Learn more @ J&S

#2: DocB Oil Pump - SOLD

Never installed. Brand new. Normally this will cost you $250 (plus your shipping to DocB just for the treatment and the external PRV), an oil pump, and 2 weeks. You can get one ready to go RIGHT NOW.

Hello!

Your pump was opened and your current specs are:

Rotor to tip: .003-.004"
Body: .004 - .005"
Side: .002"


OE specs call for:
Rotor to tip: .005-.008"
Body .0045-.007"
Side .0014-.0037"

Your pump is not bad currently. The biggest area the pump service will help with is the body and side clearance. The extra clearance in your pump's current specs allow oil to bypass the rotor of the pump and prevent good oil pressure. The service will bring this spec closer to the small end of the "OE spec".
If I am correct you do want an external PRV so we will convert the pump for use with one.

If you are ready to proceed then the cost of the service ( and conversion for use with external PRV) remains at $100 + $130 (external PRV) + $20 return shipping = $250

3: K-Sport Coilovers - being sold to ffocused

I bought these a few months back w/ the knowledge that one of the rear shocks was dead, then locally I bought a set of almost brand new KSports w/ 3 extra replacement struts (he went ahead and replaced all 4 of the shocks, a front one had gone back on him.

So is this safeguard supposed to protect against the stock tune?

It prevents your engine from knocking and destroying your block. Mostly for people who are pushing the bounds of the stock tune... 10psi+ w/o supporting mods. Better to be safe than sorry and have to get new pistons/rods/etc. The rods are weak in the MSP. That's why so many people go BOOM.
