Irritated by Mazda Dealer! What to do or say?

Do like i did to firestone when they fudge something up. Made someone else fix it, and got all my money back from firestone, then never went back there again.

So basically... go have coffee... but tell him how to make it up to you... by asking for all the extra silly money you have paid back. Then... never go back there again.

Did they charge you for the tire rotation?

I'd go have coffee with the manager and let him know that the issue here is trust. His service department did unnecessary work on your Mazda5. Point out that places like Midas Muffler, Sear's Automotive, and numerous oil change places have earned bad reputations for trying to do unnecessary work, just to have billable hours for their mechanics. But you expect better from his Mazda dealership. How can you ever trust his mechanics again? Anything they now say will have to be taken with a grain of salt. That's why you have no choice but to use another dealership, and to tell anybody who asks about your experience at his dealership. And thanks for the coffee.

Well, I went to have coffee with the dealership manager (I brought my own. I don't trust them, lol). Anyway I showed him all the paperwork that was heavy proof that they suggested unnecessary work and wrote down that I need a new air filter and that my caliper slide pins were sticking, but there was actually nothing wrong. The service manager was also there and he looked all scared and worried. I asked him why he did it. He blamed the tech and said that he might have not fully released the e-brake and it appeared that the pads were sticking. The dealer manager was explaining how everybody makes mistakes and they will work hard to treat me better and communicate. You mean, eff up my car pretty bad so that then you can say you see you did need repairs? I am not that stupid. They said see you for your next oil change. I am thinking not, definitely not. I will drive the 12 miles instead 3 miles to the other dealer. No biggie. Thanks everybody for your support.

I am just wondering why Rockin03mp5 had a problem with me starting 2 threads on this board so he merged it? It's not like there is so much activity going on in this board so the servers are gonna get overloaded. I am not trying to be disrespectful or rude. I was just curious. It does not matter to me. It kinda looks better this way.
Merged the 2 threads.

Glad to know things are turning out for the better.

Maybe you should just start a thread about your adventures with you 5 and keep updating it instead of starting new threads.

I wouldn't remove the review but rather follow up on it. This dealer will screw the next person who doesn't know better.

I posted a bad review on Google Places about the dealership that tried to nickle-and-dime me. Today I got a call from the dealership manager, from whom my family purchased 2 cars brand new. He wanted to know what happened and apologized and invited me for over for coffee on Monday to talk and to make it up to me. What should I do. Should I go or not? What is his reason. I mean, it's not his fault. It's the service manager's. He was the one that lied to me, and I exposed the lie by going to another dealership. This is too strange. I also removed the bad review because he begged me to do it. I am a nice person. I felt bad.

No brainer meet with the manager and go over your concerns. Obviously this man values your business. Strike while the iron is hot.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you have not been around the block enough to know what people to avoid.

Dealerships couldn't care less about you. The people they hire are uneducated people that generally cannot make it in the world with low turnovers. Get it into your head. Dealerships will drive you insane until you accept that they are terrible, terrible businesses to have to deal with and that they are staffed by dishonest, immoral, sub-human pieces of s***.

If you insist on hanging around dealerships arguing futile points, you are advised to have an attorney close by and on retainer. Otherwise, you are going to come back to here talking about the same ripoffs over and over. Be glad they didn't tear the car up and charge you $5500 for a new transmission and then keep the car when you couldn't pay.

Thanks Robotaz

There is a lot of truth in what you are saying. I did meet with the dealership and also the service manager. Nothing changed. They are all acting like they are innocent. F**k them, that is what I have to say. The other dealer is 12 miles from me, so I will just go there. I am not stepping foot into the other dealership. They are all that what you said. And I will find better ways to spend my money. I would rather spend it at the Casino (I never go, lol, just to make a point) than go to that dealership again. Liars...even after you show them all the evidence, they come up with excuses and act like I don't know what I am talking about. No more of my business. I am finished.
