Finally got around to putting it all in. Taking everything out went good. All came apart nice. The install. The turbo to mam mani went on good, the pope down pipe fits terrible, did they ever test fit it?
They could have made it so you can get a bolt or the nuts back on to hold it together. Then when installed on car, the pipe points up too far toward the oil pan. I was able to make it work. I bought a downpipe from ebay for a civic just to get the flex section and O2 bung. Anyway gotta finish the exhaust today. The O2 bung on the mam mani is on the other side of where it normally goes so I have to lengthen the wires for that today also.

The Hot Pipe sits on the manifold so im going to have to get a hard one made that doesnt sit so close.

I agree on the FMIC, thats a nice setup man. I think the Pope didn't fit because the MAM mani moved the turbo from the stock location.

I think the mam t2 is the same as oem... its the t3 that shifts it. My Pope dp wasnt bad even with an awr pan allen bolts would have maybe been easier too... a little more clearance. Also your lower radiator hose is gonna cook there... need a straight t-housing and different hose like speedcircuit sells or make a spacer or something.

I will have to look into that, so I cooked the samco hot pipe today on my way to work to finish up the job. So today, I put the stiffer spring into the forge wastegate, boosting at 10psi now, wow what a different from the 5-6 I was getting. I mated the rest of the exhaust, wrapped the rad hoses in heat wrap till I can get the different housing, and made a new hot pipe.

For the hot pipe, I used some exhaust pipe then cut the samco to fit.

Cant clock it anyway without taking it out, plus its all good now. yea I see a FMIC in the future. Dont feel like spending the coin on it now. Just put a new engine in my truck V10 straight from FoMoCo, 240k is good mileage for an engine lol

True but since the MAM manis were all custom made by hand there are differences in the way they are each made. Yes it is supposed to keep the turbo in the stock location but it probably isn't perfect and moved it just enough to make the DP interfere with the oil pan.

Either way you need motor mounts like yesterday.

Haha yea been meaning to order em for a while now, motor mounts have nothing to do with downpipe to block clearance.

I didn't say they did but the stock motor mounts are no match for a stock N/A pro much less a modded MSP running 10 psi! I noticed a HUGE difference with the solid mounts, I wouldn't even mod an MSP without changing the mounts first.

Haha i guess i took it the wrong way, yea ill order em up, i drive like an old bag anyway

Anyone got a link for a cheap motor mount kit, 4 piece. Ebay had a nice poly kit, but its not on there anymore?

Does that really work? Ill still have to buy all new mounts then fill em. Just wanted to say that I really am enjoying the car now. Finally moves good. and the pope gets lots of love from all my buddys. Just gotta adjust the wastegate a bit more, goes over 10psi sometimes.

Its the same exact urethane they use when making mounts. If you still have to buy mounts to fill them it may not be worth it though...

Its weird as the boost was good the 1st time I drove it when I changed to the stiffer wastegate spring. I think I need to back it off a bit.

The kit for full poly mounts is like 445, that nuts. New stocks are like 120 for 4, plus the 30 or so for the urethane. What mounts do I need, all 4, just 2? I donno, i like doing all then some.

I'd do replacement stockers and then fill them. It'll give you a very nice streetable setup without too much vibration. I've run filled stock, medieval, and awr (3 different proteges). They all kept engine movement to a minimum - the only real difference was in the amount of vibration. Start with the front and passenger then do the other two when you're up for a challenge. The rear is a nightmare.

Done a few at work already, cant beat motor mounts on a older chevy astro van 4.3L or gmc safari, they suck. These should be cake, ill order em all stock, then get the kit. What stiffness? 60a 80a or 94a?
