morning! great week at work, traffic is light, no one is here, problems are at a minimum....looking forward to a night out with my bride on the eve of new years eve!

Hmmm... Bruce (or anyone else that would know, I'm just saying Bruce because I know he did it to his Miata), where did you happen to vinyl wrap your hardtop? I just picked up a green one for my Miata...yaaay. :)

Anyone doing anything exciting for New Years?

Mine was done by a guy near Nashua. $300 bucks. If you want the company let me know.

Spending new years with my bro's family.

PS Happy BDay Chris

Happy New Year everyone! Oh, and thanks for the birthday wishes :)

My birthday was interesting to say the least. We were in North Conway expecting to go skiing the next day when my mother in law called to tell us we had no water at the house. She was checking in on the cats. Long story short, my birthday present was paying $2,600 for a new well pump and 500ft of wiring. The old wiring (original to the house, circa 1997) had corroded and was shorting out, which caused the pump to run at partial voltage. Well pumps only last about 10 years anyway so we knew it would be one of the first things to replace on the house...I just wasn't expecting it on my birthday.

On our way home to meet the repair crew, I had quite an experience on the roads. With snow flurries in the air, a car in front of me hit a patch of black ice on a moderate right hand curve on a two-way road. We were driving about 50 mph at the time. The ice took him right across the road into oncoming traffic. A car coming head-on nearly missed him by pulling into my lane, then nearly missed me immediately afterward. I jit the brakes as soon as I saw it but got down to maybe 30 mph when I hit the same ice. I took my foot off the brake so I could get my steering back and managed to find some grip on the edge of the road. There was no more than a foot between the guard rail on one side and the oncoming car on the other. It happened real fast but it was just a quick reflex. I'm glad I had winter tires...and I'm glad I've been on the ice before with this car to know that hitting the brakes does you no good. Whew, that was close!

fixed! glad you made it out ok!

30 mile bike ride, Patriots won their game, the Jets are out of the playoffs and I have tomorrow off. Not bad!

Happy New Year... a day late! I've been avoiding the forums while I was off work. Much more peaceful for me than reading s*** from uneducated fools. None of you guys, of course! I miss NEPOC folks.

Back to work today. Felt like I was the only one going to work. There was seriously no one on the roads today. Probably a good thing too. Ice everywhere.

Morning folks! How is everyone?

We got our first substantial snowfall over night. Only about 5 inches, but it turned the roads into pieces of s***. An interesting commute, but the Civic is a tank and just trudged on away.

Trudging across the tundra... mile after mile...

Happy News Years from Canada!!

morning stePhen...we've had no appreciable snow last yr or this yr...fine by me, makes my commute a horror show...not because the p5 doesn't do well, it's all the other dopes in summer tires or driving like mad men or like always just not paying attention!

have a great day all!
