What have you done to your MSP today?

Yeah not sure how that would have happened... It was a green .... The pipe from turbo too intercooler.... That's the hot pipe corect ? Aka charge pipe... I was told... Yeah I'm not 100% sure if its totally blown or not, im not getting white smoke comming out of my exhaust... So if it is blown to get a new one and prob should upgrade.... How much am I looking at $$$...? It's still driving fine, just Jo boost basicly... My busy said for now to bypass the anti freeze that's going into the turbo, if it is leaking into it .... Have had so Mich luck with this car since I got it , almost 5 months now lol and it was running freak finally too , go figure huh lol

Coolant typically burns white, so it sounds like you've diagnosed it right. I've just never heard of a turbo blowing coolant, usually its oil. You can look at a GT28RS, buy you really need to have a LOT of supporting mods in place (FMIC, full exhaust, and a tune MINIMUM), preferably forged internals before you go that way... you may want to just try to pick up a used OEM replacement for now.

this might be able to work for you

I would never buy an ebay turbo. If it does fit, it will probably leak or fail in no time. There is a reason it is priced so cheap. Also, that has a 14psi wastegate which is double the stock 7 psi spring so you would need to change that out. I would feel more comfortable buying that used one on here for a little more and have a lot less chance of failure.

yeah very true, just wasnt sure, if there was a decent priced one out there, new... just want to make sure im getting my moneys worth as well. prob best bet go with the used stock on, cuz if i wait to upgrade $2000 later who knows when that would ever happen lol so i need somthing sooner than later, how long can i drove it with the blown turbo....? with out causing more damege..?

could be a while or it could explode a mile down the road...if the turbo does completely go and it shreds the intake side your going to need an intercooler at the very least, worst case it throws metal into the engine.

You can also look for a gt25 off of a sr20det or a 2nd gen DSM...they will spool slower but are rebuilable. You would also need to clock the turbo, buy an intake adapter, and put your wastegate on it/reduce the current wastegate pressure

Also when you install the turbo. disconnect the fuel injectors and turn the motor over for about4 10 second spurts to prime the system with oil before you just go starting the car.
