so if i was standing infront of my car, and the hood was down, where abouts on the hood would the intake be... positional wise, under the hood... make sence lol! also if someone has a CS SRI could u take me a pic of it installed from the front with the hood open? thanks guys!

We are going to have a products meeting this week and one of the items up on the list is an airbox/shroud to use with our SRI.

also to corksport-

i kept getting a CEL after i did was red did and put the cut part on there. and mazda said it was throwing codes for running lean from the intake. they said it wasnt a problem tho. just thought that was interesting of them to say.

if CS is gonna make a heatsheild for it so it gets cooler air then i wont worry about it... thanks Derrick

The car looks so...incomplete with the CS intake. I wish it just had a cleaner look. Perhaps a heat shield will clean it up a bit. Otherwise I'd have already ordered one.

Any chance of selling a custom ecu housing? I would buy one straight away.
Always thought the bay needed it and was going to suggest it to CS next week.

yeah, seemed a little silly to have the big old plastic air cleaner housing on there if it wasn't doing much. So I whipped that up last Sunday afternoon. Might do something like this in carbon to go along with the intake. What do ya think? Looks cleaner this way, and honestly its far easier to remove the header for tests with the plastic "thing" gone

can u give a how-to or some prices? cuz ive been wanting to move the ecu/do this.

I personally like the aluminum. All the stock plastics look good for a stock car. After an intake goes in the plastic looks kind of out of place or like they've said, makes it look unfinished. That aluminum box takes care of the ECU and allows all that plastic to come off for the engine bay to look complete. The aluminum will help kee cost down vs. carbon fiber. Just curious your thoughts on the Corksport SRI vs. the Injen CAI?

+1 for anything that'll safely let me get rid of that hideous mountain of plastic on top of my engine.

you mean more like this?;
lol, from friday i am planning what to do to remove the stock airbox.
Im not sure if i ll use aluminum or plastic to neutralize the possibility of a short circuit.

have you connect properly the crankcase breather tube to the intake?

The best intake that i have come up until now is this. a bmc cda -like- airbox with ram air by the side of the radiator to suck fresh air from the grill of the bumper.

i have also tried to simulate the injen's cai, and CS's intake but best performance overall i got it with this(cda). the injen like cai, have very nice sound but a lit bit less powerfull than the cda. The short intake like CS, is weaker at the lower to mid rpms cause the hot air that is sucking. In absolute power is better but it lags so much that is slower than the cda or injen's like cai

This is with the cda like.

CS's with a box would be the best \imo/

also if itll sound like the CSL box on the M3.....lordy....ill be in love.

also to corksport.

if yall do make the box for the SRI, itll be for both trans i assume? since i have AT i have the dstick by the battery that bumps the cone.
