Reliable HID Kit?

I currently have the DDM Raptor 35w ballasts but one of the ballasts has been giving me problems.. Comes on when it wants to or takes a heck of a lot of tries before it fires up. I got the harness because I heard it helps with the intermitten firing problem.. well.. not really haha I know I have lifetime warranty so I am going to send the bad ballast back to DDM but I want a kit thats reliable.

Are the DDM Raptors digital? I know the DDM slim ones are digital but it says nothing about the Raptors being digital ballasts.. anyone know?

So I'm looking for new hid kit that is reliable.

What kit are you using? Are you satisfied? How much did you pay?

I'm looking at the TRS Morimoto Elite kit. It is pricy at $150/kit but all the reviews say they're great and reliable but they do cost a heck of a lot more than DDMs haha

I'm using the DDM 35w Slim ballasts and haven't had a problem with either sets in the headlamps or foglights.

hmmm maybe the slim ballasts are better? I'm hoping that I just got a faulty ballast and that the replacement will work fine.

Maybe I'll get the slim ballast ones and use my raptors for my fogs hahaha

I wanna order a kit for fogs on 2010 MZ3S. Do I just need the $45 35W kit with 9006 bulbs and nothing else? Plug'n'play?

That is all you need is the 34w Slim ballast kit at whatever color temp you want; just check in the manual for the bulb size but I'm almost positive it was 9006.

If you want to stick with the factory halogen projectors, the Morimoto kit from TRS is the only way to go. OEM quality and output. If you want to switch up to an HID projector with better output, you can get the Morimoto Quick Retro kit which will give you Bi-xenon HID projectors with clear lenses that bolt directly in place of the OEM halogens. It's more money, but completely worth it in the end.
