If you need a motor quick, a KL swap is probably not what you're looking for. It will require quite a bit of work and rewiring, and it sounds like you need a replacement motor fast. I would go with a drop-in 2.0L FSDE if I were you.
Its that these cars are beat on and even then thats not 00% the reason why they fail. I think its more then likely they are over reved but thats me. I had a auto fsde with full bolt on and it saw redline every take off just about. To make a long story short 170k miles when i traded it in and it didnt burn any oil and was still on the orig motor.
