!? did something happen during the storm????

not to my car i had it hidden away in the garage, but had i left it where it normally is parked i would have needed to remove a tree from it yesterday. Instead i just have a lot of cleaning up of trees and branches to do.

Hey how did they (or you) shave the rear hatch? did you just fill the holes with body filler or did you actually weld them shut?
just curious

Either one would suck... but how did you do that? (crack one that is)

R.I.P to the Super Advan.....I must have cracked a rim while on a "spirited" canyon run. I was going pretty hard, and the road is pretty technical.

from the face, you can see this crack....the backside is a scary sight, one spoke is nearly cracked all the way around, front and back. another spoke has a crack on the backside that was starting to creep up to the face. and a third spoke was developing a crack on the backside. Im so glad and lucky the wheel started to make a LOUD grinding noise that made me stop and inspect the car. If the wheel would have disintegrated without warning, it would have been bad.

That sucks, but that kind of wheel damage doesn't happen just by "pushing mad hard on t3chn1cal t0gu3 runz" d00d. Either there was a fault in the wheel, or you hit something.

Im sure the crack had something to do with the wheel itself and age of the wheels is certainly the factor....I didnt hit anything, any potholes...Im just saying the canyon run might have been too much for the wheel. The heat transferred from the brakes for a 22 mile run. extra stress and flex the wheels go through on corners.
