The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

little wesley is growing up!! Happy Birthday buddy!!! (but don't do 21 shots to celebrate, it's not worth it in the morning) ; )

favor to ask anyone who may be willing to help me out. i have 2 boxes down at Team Sahlen's shop in N Canton (behind the airport if you weren't there when we had the meet) and i'm wondering if any of you that live closer would be willing to pick them up for me and bring them to PIE ... they won't fit in a miata, but will fit in anything else. if not, i'll run down to grab them. i just thought i'd ask. no worries either way. thanks.

how big are they that wont fit in a mazda??

also im picking up a roof rack friday and will be a the "mazda" frat house friday night, i might be able to load them on the roof of whitney if they arent too heavy, anyway hit me up with details if possible lauri, might be able to help, approx. dimensions of boxes and weight would be great

She said they won't fit in a Miata. I can take the Bav down that way after work one day. That's easy as it's only 10 minutes.

thanks for clarifying phen, as i DID say miata, not mazda ... lol

i'll find out when i can pick them up. i sent Jay an email. the bigger one is maybe 24" - 30" square ... has a few hardcover books in it and tees and misc stuff. the other one is a tad smaller and filled with tees. iirc the girl michelle at the front desk was cute! = D

So I'm thinking of ordering some paint to do the brake calipers on the MS3. Anyone have any recommendations for color and type of paint?

I was thinking red or black and using this Rust-Oleum high-temp paint: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RLL-248908/
I used the G2 stuff on the Miata and it looks like crap. But every time I change wheels I take another chunk out of the paint banging the wheel into the caliper so it's probably mostly my fault.

man, im out of it... totally thought they said mazda hahah

i guess if phen doesnt/cant make i can swing there on my way to house tomorrow...

I used Metalcast anodized blue from Duplicolor on mine and it turned out pretty good. Holding up to the abuse of changing wheels every other week too!

they are only there until 5p daily, and after today are closing shop for the weekend so they can all rest. if no one can get there by 5p today or some time next week, i'll run down NEXT friday after work as i usually get done by 4p on fridays. we'll figure it out. thanks!!

G2 is what we used and Will did you do the 3 coats that the recommend? It does make a difference, Lauri does our painting and has it down to a science.

I did 3 coats. 2 immediately, and the third several days later.

I can't today, but probably Monday.

if it's not too much trouble, phen, that'll work. i'll let jay know. he says he drives through barberton daily (isn't that where you work? iirc) and could even meet you somewhere along I76 if you don't want to go to the shop. you let me know either way. thanks a bunch!!

Sorry I missed this, Lauri but I can swing by Sahlens for you if the other guys can't. I can't leave early today (already asked the Old Grouch (Dad) and he said No) but we get out early on Fridays at 4pm, but they're closed tomorrow right? Or I can swing by next week.

Oh, in that case, just have Jay get ahold of me and we can work it out.
