Larry, it's bloody loud at WOT. But around town I just drive normally so it's not that bad. And as far as cabin decibels, it's not anything that would make me go deaf. And bare in mind I don't have an interior in the back.

AJ, if we ever meet in person (Mid-Ohio corrall in Sept?) you might change your mind. But that's cool if you don't dig it. No worries. But I don't want to mess with the exhaust system because it doesn't drone on the highway. My P5 has been droning for about 3 years now with my GReddy then the CorkSport, so it's heavenly to be able to have a conversation on the highway. :)

I do like how it sounds like a V6 around town though. It's very throaty. I'll get some video of driving around town normally soon.

Sean, that's a little bit of motivation to finish your KL swap, buddy! And you will have 30 more hp than me! Yours is going to sound epic.

i mean i think it would sound a lot better to me if i didnt pair that sound with the rice as **** probe gts who are at local meets. 4 different color body panels and ricey kits are not a good thing to pair that sound with

Thanks for the comments guys, though I can't really take any credit for anything. They are just a bunch of parts I bought with my money and installed with my friends. It's kinda weird getting compliments on the car at local meets and stuff because I'm just like "Meh. It's just a bunch of parts.". I can take some pride in doing the work but that's about it. :)

I am looking forward to Wes's KLZE swap into his 95 626 next year. Now that's going to be a blast. Wes, you should start a build thread now to keep track of things.

I do have a build thread on 626.net. I've considered starting one several times on here, but the 626 section gets basically negative traffic. I guess I could change that...

Quick pic I snapped yesterday. Thanks again for lending a hand, man.

I've noticed the 626 sub-forum is dead here, same with the MX-6. Pretty much everything with a KL. Boo. I'll sub to your build thread on 626.net then. Send me a link, yO. And thanks for the pic and for cropping out most of the rust. ;) Now I have a decent pic for when cats ask how my wheels look since my cell never takes a decent pic of black wheels.

In other news, I'm seriously considering going AWD on my P6. I've got a lot of research to do but I really want to re-work my entire car in winter 2012 and have a bad-ass AWD, turbo'ed KL P5. It would require a lot of work and custom fabbing but would be so fun.

Disclaimer; yes it would be more practical to buy an Evo or STi, but where is the fun in that?

this i want to help with!!

I think one of the biggest challenges to overcome with the AWD setup is that the USDM BJ's have a completely different tunnel than the AWD Sport20's. It's too narrow. Possible custom tunnel with lots of cutting. Hmm. There's a guy on here who doesn't really post much, but I helped him work on his car a few years ago... he's in the middle (almost done) on an AWD MX-3 built with a GTR drivetrain. The drivetrain is in place. He'd be a good one to ask about custom AWD fabbing. His username is something like projectmx or the like. I can look it up later.

Another option would be to import a real Sport20 and use bits off of that. Here's the extreme downside... since it's not over 20 or so years old, it's a pain to get in the country, and sometimes, it has to be cut up to ensure that it won't be put back on the road over here illegally. A guy in Canada did that last year. Sport20 cut into 3 pieces. Also another option.

I was also reading about the possibility of the Sport20 swap for you, and some guy said he'd contacted Corksport about sourcing the parts for him, and he said they quoted him 7k. Another thing besides the tunnel being smaller is that it was setup for the RHD cars, so somehow that changes some clearances, also I guess. But what's the fun in plug and play!

The other thing is that the trans with the rear output shaft (for the rear wheels) was for the FS motor... That's where I got hung up.

But you know it would be beyond epic. And there was an AWD 626 in europe.... Hmmm....

Phen, those pics are epic. I love the packing slip on the rear window. My dad and uncle would s*** themselves if I got a container delivered to work with a Sport20 in it. Muahaha.

I mean, I understand it will be a lot of work (and even that's an understatement) but with all the similarities in the 626, Protege5, MX-3 and Sport20 there should be some light at the end of the trans tunnel for the AWD. (pun. I are funny). I'll be busy with lots and lots of research. And I'm talking not even buying parts for another year and having the P6 in the garage as a project car. It will probably be on jackstands for a whole winter. I mean s***, it took me over a month just to swap the motor. haha.

The AWD is certainly something I want to tackle. The turbo will be first next year. Well, a 626 with a manual tranny as a DD will be first, then I can tear apart the P6 and completely re-do the engine bay, wire tuck, strip everything and Megasquirt and boost.
