does anyone know of where i could find camshafts for the 1.8? ive looked around a bit but all i see are ones for the 2.0s
just because one person installed the cams in his car and got bad results (whatever constitutes "bad results") doesnt mean they wont work out. as drop in replacements, they may not be the best. cams are probably the last mod you would want to do, before tearing into the engine, anyway. start with the basics: intake, header, exhaust... then, move to the next step: port match the intake manifold to the head, light-weight pullys, light-weight flywheel... then, look into ecu mods, standalone if you can afford it. THEN, have a look at cams and adjustable cam gears.
at least, those are the steps i would follow...
`SleepyGonzalez (sp?) ran twiggy sticks in his FP. All FS cams will work fine in the FPs.
Sleepy even ran his stock engine with a few supporting mods to 7.5k rpm daily without any problems, something that would have FS's flying apart
And yes i know this threads old but in case someone else goes looking for the answer its here.
