What have you done to your MSP today?

Might just pick up the filter I saw at advanced this weekend. Made by Spectre and is an oiled filter that can be recharged with the K&N kit for $19.99 since I have a $5 off coupon for advance.

The new EMS-4 has arrived! Now I just need my extension harness and it is time to rock (nana)

hey guys, I installed the Mishimoto rad. the other day and the upper coolant line that goes into the block, I put an arrow to it in the pic below, is leaking (dripping when the engine is hot), I noticed it was kind of "stuck" when I tried to move it over so I guess it was sealed really well, I noticed the mishimoto rad. cap is 19psi also, what is the stock cap? would an increase pressure for the cap cause there to be more pressure on that upper hose and make it leak since it might not have as tight of a seal? I'm still using the stock clip things, should I got to a worm clamp to really tighten it down?

it's getting frustrating now because it's dripping pretty consistently when the engine is hot.. Ricktalife, did you have any problems like this when you installed yours?

my msp is starting to look like a car again. Headlights are back on and I installed a license plate bracket on the bumper so I"m not block the IC (puts it off to the passenger side in-line with the lower grill). Got the battery charging now and hopefully tightening down the intake mani bolts solve my problem. If not I may have to try longer bolts and/or take of the thermal spacer.

I used new hoses and clamps on mine, I think the clamps aren't as efffective once they've been messed with. I'd try a new clamp first and go from there since that'll be the chaepest option

I still have the stock radiator installed, but I did install slim fans so that's probably why you remember me talking about it. I did not have any issues with leaking coolant and I think the trick to that is making sure that if you reuse the original hoses and clamps that they are put back in the same position. By that I mean, if the clamp is turned a little to the left of where it originally was on the hose for X amount of years, then there is probably an indent in the hose that is formed to match it. The simplist solution would probably be to replace the hoses.

yeah it does! i want to knwo whats going on with the overflow jugs.. is one for a meth system?
yea thats for my meth. i was going to use the wiper fluid one but in CO i use my wiper fluid pretty regularly. i daily the car, the no power steering really isnt bad at all feels kinda cool. and i have never used the AC before anyways lol. yea i am gonna do a touchup on the paint soon. also, the battery will go in the trunk, the coldside piping will be redone, i will clock the turbo and re-do my hotside a little, and i am gonna tuck a lot of the wires underneath the intake mainfold

ya that's what I was thinking, luckily it's just dripping a little bit so I think if I get a tighter clamp it will be fine, they kind of stuck before when I tried to just move them around.

ya, woops, I just checked and it was Outlawstar who actually just installed the Mishimoto rad a little while before me.. but ya I will give that a shot, thanks

and outlawstar, it doesn't look like you needed to bent the rad. brackets, I had to do mine, which was actually the hardest part, to make sure it worked correctly, if I could have found the extra 2 rubber grommets that the rad. sits in from my old msp, I would have tried to stack them up to make it sit higher, but I couldn't find them in time...what did you do? and also did you have problems with the hoses, I'm assuming no just because you haven't commented on here yet about them..
