Installing springs + struts

I'm having a great time putting on my struts. The first strut's bolts are soaking in pb blaster, cause those things are frozen on. Well, this is fun...

just stripped a shock tower nut, not really sure what to do now...

I'd call it a day and let them soak for a bit longer and wait tell you have a friend to help you with proper tools for situation your in right now.

my buddy and I just used his impact with a little pb blast (didnt even soak them, just sprayed some on there and hit it with the impact) didnt have any problems taking out the struts and putting my ground controls on. impact is amazing!

I was using a breaker bar, two of the strut bolts stripped so I'm going to have to cut them off. I'm going to soak everything in pb blast today and take another shot at it tomorrow.

have you tried heat?

Heat gun, pb blast, nut extractor set and a big sturdy breaker bar. Always works nicely.

go to a local shop, pop the hood and tell them to just loosen the strut bolts

just loosen them, and then tighten with ur own ratchet or whatev. just use the shop to break the nuts loose

id still be iffy on the ride back, i mean they are that tight for a reason.

update: Got the two messed up nuts off with a nut extractor. I took the car to my friend's shop and an impact gun took the rest off no problem.

So, do yourself a solid and use air tools.
