What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Installed badgeless grille (car still needs to be washed).

Thanks. I love the look much better. Next on list is blacked out rear mazdaspeed6, rear interior brace, and HR springs. I'm still debating on the springs but I do need a drop.

developed a whurring noise, DIY Screwdriver stethoscope says its not block, but something serpentine related. cant pinpoint due to rotating parts lol, but the alternator is quite noisy...

Just installed stoptech rotors and hawk pads on the rear. Super easy job. Had to drill out those screws that hold the rotors on. I actually bent a screw driver trying to remove them.

A $20 Craftsmen manual ratchet driver works wonders on these. I hope you didn't put them back in though, they are unnecessary and only for production purposes.

Yesterday, changed oil/filter, rotated tires, replaced wiper blades, fixed front cigarette lighter. Wanted to wash her but rain moving in nixed that.

Whoa that's the first time I've seen you post in this thread in a long time haha miata has been getting all the attention.

My rear wheel decided to come off without any trouble today so I finally finished my rotation.

monday update: went camping, slept in the trunk of my rental 3, sold my subaru, bought a civic, havent seen my 6 in a week

adjusted my endlinks to stiffen up the sways even more. lol. drove her out to the International in Niagara falls canada. put a larger meth nozzle in. and filled up the bottle the other day.

Looks good Funkster. Which one did you get? How was the fit/finish?

Speedline Pro. The fit was good. It was a little off near the edges but not dramatic. I had them paint it to match the car. I used double sided tape (extra strong stuff) to hold it down at the front (just in case).

Subaru to civic?!

I got my new Vanity Plate on Saturday ...1WICKD6...was tired of seeing 1SWEET5 back there..lol

Sorry for the lack of participation, folks. Summertime means most of my attention goes to the RX7. So far, I've replaced the oil, oil filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, and fuel filter. I also managed to grab a 80-amp alternator and a modern-style fuse panel (replacing the stock fusible links) from an S5 RX7. No more dimming dash lights at night!

As for the Speed, I changed the oil and the filter this afternoon. I snagged a six-pack of Fram filters off the 'Bay for $28 shipped; much better than the $10 a piece at Wally World.

I also have a pretty neat odometer milestone that I should hit within the next day or so. Stay tuned! (thumb)

Nope. Did'nt put those back on. I figure the only way the rotors coming of is if it follows the tire. And if thats the case, i got a lot to worry about.

yup, changed from an '02 legacy wagon to an '02 civic... i love subaru's but considering the cars main use is pizza delivery the suby was just too expensive (cost $70 in fuel for two nights work)

so, I think I'll be installing a snorkel, since my city is threatening to go underwater in the next few days...
Thanks, Prairie Provinces of Canada. lol.

I washed mine Sunday, and vacuumed and 303'ed the interior. I still have to clean and condition the seats, and give it the first wax of the season, but its going in for paint work tonight. The rear bumper will be redone to fix the rear-ending damage it took back in January(!) and I'm having the rear fender lip rolled and repainted at the same time since there's some damage from rubbing.

I'm a little bit concerned that it has occasionally been hesitant to start, and sputters a little bit before it kicks in once in a while, and I'm trying to figure out if I got some water somewhere it shouldn't be while washing the engine bay, if its time to change the plugs, or if its just a random symptom from not driving it as often.
