What have you done to your MSP today?

Parked the MSP on Friday and got the other car road worthy. I'm going to need to do some troubleshooting and I need help on what to look for. For those of you who'd like to help, check out my help thread.

if you have it set too soft it can flutter

I would think/assume he has the V2 since it's the HKS, don't know to many people that get the HKS V1 anymore, which (the V2) is self-adjustable, I love mine..

and ya at idle it sounding like nuts in a can is really weird, I guess check the turbo for any shaft play?? I don't really know from there, maybe it's just something random that is a little loose. but ya, have no clue what it could be.. I guess just start poking at things and see if they are loose or something like that

Edit: ya I meant the V3.. woops

my v3 sigh's or sounds like a turtle's hiss sometimes when driven soft haha

Well it definitely isn't normal because it makes noise anytime I am on the throttle. I thought about it a little more and it sounds kinda like a plastic bag blowing in the wind lol. Though trying to diagnose a noise on the internet is pretty pointless, especially on an MSP, I figured it was worth asking.

try to get us a video clip with sound for further diagnosis :)

I used to put my phone mic down held by my wiper blade, as close to the back of the hood as possible. Some recordings were better than others. Might be worth a try, unless you have a decent phone. Don't do it then.

Any of you guys on here run an engine torque damper? Is there only one company that makes one?

I don't have one. And I've only seen the one company. I'd think you could use one from another company and make custom brackets. My friend has one on his supercharged cobalt ss(fast as hell the msp can't hang :( ) and he said it made a pretty big difference.

Yeah, with front wheel drive mounted engines it will make a big difference due to how severely the engine shifts. Hmm....

whats the advantage or disadvantage vs stiff mounts? id assume they have very similar characteristics, although i feel as if the dampener makes idle less vibratey
