What have you done to your MSP today?

lol, ya, I hit the floor mat last weekend that ripped off a chunk from my bumper, but I'm just getting a lip, and I found today some scuffing on the wheel too, hopefully it comes off but it looks like some of it took the paint off a little, but ya you definitely been on the line of selling that thing for a while, then you just get something new haha, but I guess if it is giving you such a headache, and if in a few days you still want to sell it, go ahead...

but today I adjusted the rear coilovers, the rears are about 1 finger's width +1-2cm extra, and the fronts I kept at a tight 1 finger's width, and I loosened the stiffness from the rear which was 8 from full stiffness to 10 from full stiffness, and the fronts from completely stiff to 15 from completely stiff, which has helped with the under-steer problem that I wasn't sure where it was coming from (just remember the car turning a little better before I tightened the crap out of the front), also cleaned the crap out of them, luckily because one of the springs were sitting funny since there was so much road crap jammed in there

and tomorrow going to wire up the fans with the relay so they both go on when it is triggered by the temp. and probably wire up the replacement Blazer horns I got from autozone to replace the embarrassing stock horn lol, didn't want to spend the $45-55 for Hella Supertones when they all sound pretty similar

Installed my ssafc. was pretty easy if not for having to do the whole thing with a flashlight in my mouth. cant really feel any power difference but the car doesn't seem to stumble at high rpm or at wot. though the car seems to be dragging somewhere. not sure if its time to clean my filter, gut my cats or clean the maf or what not.
Not as lumpy though. power seems more linear.

but, still running 7 psi on my atp. impressions are limited. also did my rear brakes the other day and when im slowing down i can hear a faint squeel.. not sure if i ****** something up or not. its only when the brake is applied. i know they work just fine cause i adjusted the ebrake and it holds great.

in all honesty does it even matter? an injector is an injector, no cylinder should be getting a different amount of fuel/spray pattern.. arent they the same exact thing just different color?

The injectors flow exactly the same amount of fuel; it's the direction of their spray patterns that are different. Since the intake manifold's runners are not straight on into the head's ports, each injector's spray pattern is directed towards the port. Hope that makes sense.

that was taken from an old post from a guy that used to be a mazda tech so in short yes the order of the injectors matter

then how come aftermarket injectors (such as OEM WRX or STi Pinks) work if the spray pattern is meant to be so specific?
 
could this could be the reason a lot of people idle lean, but when the car is under load the air taken in is enough to carry the fuel and atomize correctly, whereas at idle intake air speeds are very minimal thus bad atomization? thats the only thing i can think of, but at the same time not everyone with after market injectors has that.. if i was keeping the MSP i would totally look into this way more.
 
Question, just put my stock injectors back in.... disconnected the battery and stood on the break pedal to make sure the ECU resets. When i start it back up, the car keeps trying to idle at around 17.2 AFR's... like its remembering the bigger injectors are still in there. Any thoughts? I have tried to reset the ECU twice now, and the same thing happens.

lean idle is no big deal, theres no load on the engine so it doesnt damage, hell look on the bright side, you save gas when youre stopped at red lights. is it possible you put them in the wrong sides? because as stated before my theory is that if what has been said about those injectors is true if you put them in the wrong side that just about proves my theory.

Yeah, but that doesn't fly with me.... lol Thus the reason i took out the bigger injectors, because i couldn't get the driveability exactly perfect with the piggyback. The stock injectors never idled lean when i had them in before.... just doesn't make sense
