The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

So what's your plan, Wes?

Umm, start saving all the money I can, I'll have 4 small part time jobs at this point, sell the Miata, buy a truck, fix it until it's in DD-working-order, begin acquiring parts for the KL swap. I'm still not sure where I could actually do the swap, since my garage isn't deep enough to use an engine hoist, and I'm not done building the garage with my buddy. Those are minor details, lol. I guess I'm still drawing the big picture. I'm not sure how much the swap will be, entirely, so I can't calculate how long it will take to save up enough to do it. o.O

Wes, you know I'll help out as much as possible. Not sure if we will be able to swap it at my house with Ivan moving in as well next month. But who knows, maybe when you're ready for the swap I'll have my own place with more room to store your motor and swap it when you're ready.

That would be crazy, but I definitely don't want to impose. I have a feeling it would take almost as long as yours, minus the wiring (fingers crossed), because I'd like to touch up the rusty bits in the engine bay and I'm kind of AR like you, haha. I dunno about painting it another color. I mean I'd like to, but paint is not my forte.

Had my first day at work today. Not much exciting, I never knew stocking shelves was so complicated..

Is everyone asleep today?

I was... First day in a while I have nothing for school and no work but I just don't feel like working on my car today.

yeah...I'll get motivated here shortly I'm sure.

I've been working diligently in the database today. No time for distractions...

Done student teaching! Graduation tomorrow! Sad to leave Wadsworth, though. There are a slim few openings in the area. If anyone knows of any place that will hire a guy with a teaching degree and/or history degree, let me know--because finding a job in teaching in Ohio is going to be about a .0001% chance at this point.

Too bad they're 5x114.3. I would have bought them for the MSM.

As a heads up to anyone interested... those tires in that size just cost me over $700 mounted and balanced.

Congratulations on graduating! Hope the job search goes well.

I finished my semester just before midnight last night by sending in a paper. It was pretty nice to have a lazy day to just work on the car.

that is a good deal but I'll have to think about it. I want something more along the lines of 7.5" or 8" wide. Got somewhat motivated and took off the head lights. I figure I might as well look into led lights for the corner turn signals while I'm at it. Might do some more work since Amber is out of town for the weekend.
