I actually just put a CURT on mine, ordered it from Amazon, it was like $120! Heck of a deal and looks great! I wanted the Mazda one, but didn't want to pay what they wanted![]()
The OE hitch receiver alone costs $350 online or at dealerships. You do realize that the OEM trailer hitch option includes a dedicated transmission oil cooler right?

Easy. If you can see two fan control modules (a silver box with heat dissipation fins/heat sink near the fan), yours has tow package.
Therefore, 3500lb tow rating. Non-tow package CX9 only has ONE fan controller.
I am looking to put the OEM hitch on my 2010 CX9 AWD Touring and my understanding is the car should have a 3500 lb towing capacity. Although when I called Mazda they were pretty insistent on me locating the radiator code for the purposes of determining which tow rating the car was set up for in the factory. The code can be either CA-26 or CA-27. So where can I find the code??? My understanding is if the car has CA-26 then I need to purchase a harness along with the hitch. Thanks for the help. Pics would help.
On my 2010 CX9 AWG GT I found the Radiator code on top of the radiator.
