ya know, so many people hate on F&F, but really, it made the whole car scene blow up IMO. There for a while, car modification was kinda blah, and I wasn't big into cars at the time, and then the movie came out, and really piqued my interest. Then, the 2nd one come out, I come out of the theater and Mitsubishi sponsored an event locally, and they had an 03 Spyder and EVO sitting out front, I ended up getting a Spyder (of course I did NOT mod mine like the one from F&F2, but it definitely got me going). I love the F&F movies, no matter how fake they are or how dumb some of the stuff is, it is still a movie about the car scene, and I am all for it.

BTW, Dub, I have told you before, and I will tell you again, you have one of the best/cleanest Miatas I have ever seen. I love the black/white combo, and can't wait to see what comes next. Where are you going to be putting all your stickers out? I ordered some for my speed, and can't decide on either stacking them at an angle down the left hand side back window, or stacking in the middle from the top of the back window. Hrmmmmm..

Diff mounts came in, them as well as the motor mounts will be installed this weekend while I get the new trans seal kit installed

Had the diff mounts installed yesterday, as well as the front seal on the trans and fixed the slipping clutch. Also found my lower shifter bushing was not only cracked, but located in the wrong place which was causing the massive play in my shifter. It was put in the proper place for the time being until the new one comes in, but that with the installs makes the car feel so much better. Drive lash is almost eliminated and shifting feel beautiful again.

Motor mounts will probably be installed next weekend, which will eliminate the last bit of drive lash I may have. whoop

I ran 13.73 on 165 whp in a heavier car with a 1.8L. I'm closer to 200 now once the tune is finished, and according to the tuner's calculations, my car should be mid-12's with the right driver, and the 5 speed that I have now. Dub's car has potential to have more power than mine since he's not using a tiny turbo. However... I'd like yooooooo see what kind of traction you're gonna get when you launch with those craptastic tires you have stretched on there... <3

Btw, nexen n3000 are cheapo, had them for a while and they spun me all the way threw first and second gear with feathering throttle. To remedy this, i'm waiting to afford aem full standalone capable of boost by gear.

Yes it is now with my hankook V12s, the nexens were terrible.

Nice Dub, it looks like a mix between a greedy rs, turbosmart and tial. Have fun with that boost. I can't wait to switch up to my HKS V3 with new intercooler piping.

Shifter bushing and miataturbo stuff came in the mail yesterday, installed mazdaspeed motor mounts, motor mount spacers to raise the motor up and the shifter bushing today. Both of my stock mounts were completely gone. Car feels so much better with proper mounts, my 2nd and 3rd gear lash is finally gone. Whoop!

I was hoping to install turbo maybe this coming weekend, but this past thursday night I got a ticket for tint and since I have to essentially show off my car to an officer, I don't really want to do it after turbo install but since I have to wait for the ticket to get into the system before I correct it, that could take up to 3 weeks or so. Basically, I don't think turbo is gonna happen this month

I got a fix it for tail lights back with the protege, and when I went to the CHP office to get it written off, the officer threatened to give me another ticket for having tint on the front windows and would not write off anything until I came back without tint on the front doors.

I then went to the local PD instead, and left my front windows down. He did a hood pop on the car before writing off the tail lights.

Therefore, I'd rather not be boosted in front of the officer, as I'm scared I might get in trouble for my front visor and/or height already so I don't want to make it worse on myself.
