What have you done to your P5 today?

can you say "sex on wheels" ?

haha, but Nice though!

is it one of the black ones like here

Yes, but no need to drop over $600 for them. Check the how-to section out as there is a great write-up there on how to do it. Just set aside a day to do it and materials will cost you $20 or so. I opted for a satin finish.

Was on my way home from work, and there was a dead animal in the road. I moved my car so I wouldn't run it over with my tires, so it went down the middle, but I guess the combination of my car being lowered, and the fact that the animal was kinda big, i heard a huge ass thump under my car. Then while going through the drive thru and had my window down, I heard it making this weird noise every once and awhile. And anytime I crank it up, I hear like a thump. I really hope nothing is messed up. I'm kind of freaking out.

just spent way too much time removing the drivers side knuckle. the last step, where the knuckle came off the pin just took so long to move it but eventually got it off. removing the passenger side on monday night and then wednesday new bearings go in :)

Installed my arp extended stud's on the front test fitted my project wheel's with 8mm spacer's with the stud's love what I saw.. Looking to get tire's put on tomorrow at cj's.

Damn, looking good so far. Also, 8mm going to be enough?

Got my DVD/Nav combo working, then got an idea. the video only plays when the parking brake is engaged. if i were to wire that to a constant power source, would it "trick" the system into thinking that the ebrake is always on? if so, that would help for long road trips with Amy since she does have the attention span of a 3 year old at times.

For the time being, that would be a lot cheaper than getting another monitor and mounting somewhere in the car for her to watch movies (it will play through other monitors while the car is in motion, just not the main one)

my DVD player e-brake wires is wired to a relay to tricked the system into seeing the signal. you could always just wire it up to a switch and when you want to use the video flip the switch, i think most headunits e-brake wires just need to be grounded to trick the system. I know ive installed a few dvd players and just used a simple toggle switch, wire it to a good ground and attach the ebrake wire. very simple and easy to hide. or wire it to your e-brake and pull up one click to watch a movie, i know on my car one click does nothing..

Some headunits, like the Pioneer AVIC series, require a wire to be removed and replaced in a different pin location, then wired to ground with the ebrake signal wire. Check your specific application.

Yep that second pic with the bbs wheel on is with spacer and all and the bbs center cap still screw's into place and cover's everything up.I had the center bore on the rear wheel's made bigger to fit like stock so no spacer is needed tho I might run a 5mm spacer later on.

This is what it looks like with the 8mm spacer pretty damn flush..

I have a Sony XNV-660BT (I wanted a Pioneer as I am very familiar with almost all of their line, but my uncle bought this for me randomly lol). I'm thinking if I just ground it it would work (would that send the right signal that way? If not would constant power wire do it?). I would have to wait for Amy to get home with the car to try it out tomorrow.

Tomorrow I should get in my Dash Kit and RCA splitter for the subs in and then I will get pics of it installed (right now it's sitting in the gaping hole, and the first one I bought... radio that is, was faulty and scratched the center console up with removing it and Amy not knowing how to hold the radio correctly).

yeah, I'm not sure off hand. I've only got experience with Pioneers and Kenwoods

I installed new Brembo OEM rotors upfront, StopTech SS brake lines and a brake fluid flush and refill with Willwood racing brake fluid. Those front rotors are a b**** to get off.

yea, im not looking forward to doing mine....need new rotors and pads, but the lip on the front rotors is HUGE lol

I pounded the s*** out of them from the back to knock them off. The first one took about 45mins of beating it. The back of the rotor face is dimpled like crazy. haha! So on the other one I just hit the face of the rotor with the hammer about 10 times. It cracked the top hat of the rotor but the rotor came loose and slid right off.

I double checked the How-To on here and all the Cali guys are like "Yeah, it should just slide right off.". Turkeys. I've got 8 years of snow, salt and rain up in there. Aint nothing on my car "slides right off". haha! But they're not too bad, Simon.

I think I may wait for the next time I need brakes to do the lines, by that time I'm going to have new rotors go all the way around as well.
