What have you done to your MP3 today???

so how much would a new motor + labor cost to get it back up and running again? if i can get it done for 1000-1500 i might be picking this mp3 up & fixing it!

You could probly get a junkyard motor for a few hundred...

that's what i was thinkin... but i'm not well versed enough to install it myself and idk how much labor would be...

Depends on where you go. Don't go to mazda call around a few local repair shops. You'll probly be in the 500 to 1000 area depending on labor rates

a standard re&re is ~10hours book time at the dealership, plus the cost of the engine. So if you have a trusted mechanic who is well versed in swapping engines and doesn't charge an arm while finding a decent engine at a reasonable price, 1500$ sounds quite doable.

Having said that, I visited my MP3 yesterday at the storage location while working on my snowcross beater (V6 MX-6).

word... i go to bloomsburg a lot so i know exactly where that is. i'll keep everyone updated as to what happens with the mp3. possibly going to look at it this week

became dissapointed when i found out the dumb b**** who was supposed to sell me her mp3 sold it to a guy who's using it to steal the tranny for his bad 01 LX!!! then gonna bring it to the junkyard! :/

get the guys number, bring it to your place and help him take out the tranny and take the car? win-win

found an oil spot under my car today, i think its coming from the turbo oil drain. will have to check it out after it dries up outside. hopefully its not a big deal.
