The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

if they give me 2K for the p5... which they should at the least... i have done my research... even with the things it needs...

my payment will only be $112 a month. can you guys live with that? a new car... $112 a month?

all you want is 2k for it? hmmmm....

So, I sat in the Post Office today trying to apply for a passport. My boss told me to get one asap.. 220 dollars later and 3 hrs of waiting in a small room with screaming children, I got it done.

The nice thing is the company is reimbursing me for the cost of the passport. Not sure what they are going to do about the loss of hearing and sanity from screaming children. It's like when one starts crying or screaming, the others decide to join in or have a screaming contest.

CR-KAI's are my dream wheels!! Got any pics?

Here you go.

that is the least. it needs work. i dont want to pay for said work. if i had to... i would imagine 2K worth of work. i would like to get 2500 from the dealer. they can just pay parts, and be able to sell for almost 6k possibly.

I need a new pair of pants now (omg)

Whenever you have the time, depending on weather

Also, I need to install my front pads, I've had these EBC Yellowstuff sitting in my car for a while now lol. I was trying to get more life out of the stock pads, but now it's time to change them. I don't think I have the tools to do it myself though

I can do it here at work anytime after 6pm during the week or anytime on the weekend. If you guys can figure out a time you're both free we can bang out the MSP and MS3 in one shot. That would be ideal for me. It's too bloody cold and dark for LMS during the winter. :(

I'm free tonight, Wednesday, Friday, or the weekend.

Wow...I just realized I have an appointment at Montrose Mazda for an Oil change ($20 woot!) at 2pm on Saturday. I could be over at 3:15-3:30.

Please excuse my ignorance. What exactly makes a Work, OZ, BBS, etc, etc, wheel better than a "knockoff" wheel? I just can't get my head around spending $1200 on a set of brand "X" when brand "Y" looks the same for $500 a set.

The common factors are:

Manufacturing technique - Forged vs cast, etc
Materials used
weight
size / other dimensions - some knock offs don't offer the same wheel in the same width / offset / etc.
Baller status for the name. - You charge the price, some one will buy them and then brag left and right about them.

They may look the same, but most of the time, you get what you pay for. Also, the name adds to the price.

if looks is all... then it doesnt matter to you.

it is like getting a 300 tv vs a 1500 tv. sure, it can look the same now, and it is just a little heavier... but when it craps out in 3 months....
