SRT4 Swap??

difficult? if you have to ask, its too difficult
need a standalone ecu, custom motor mounts, custom axles, custom shift linkage,
then you have to wire it up to work with the cluster (which would probably be the hardest part)
after all that, you would need a custom exhaust, possibly custom radiator, custom hoses, then custom AC and power steering lines

Build/boost your motor, GT28 or bigger, Haltech EMS with the normal bolt ons and walk on SRT-4's all day...case closed

If you have the money 4g63. Can hold way more power and way bigger aftermarket selection. But any swap WILL cost more than what the car is worth that's why I said lose all thought of it but if your serious do it right. Since it won't be your daily driver id do away with ac and power steering keep only what you need water and alternator. You should be able to splice the wires for the speedometer that's what a lot of people do with sr20 and rb swaps. As far as tach if you want it may be easier to get one and do without the one in the dash gay but works. There's my "swap" input for my common sense input just forge and turbo like everybody else. Be like a few and swap in a klze or trade it in if you wana keep it just turbo it way easier

$20,000 on the fsde and itl still be slow yes another motor?no I'm still trying to figure out why people wana swap motors in a protege in the end itl be cheaper and more reliable to just get a different car...

20k on a FS-DE equals still be slow ??? are you serious about this ????? There is quite few Fast Proteges in here with less money invested Walking lots of cars out there. With 20k you can make any car a Rocket..

Slow? Define slow!
Just like most other econoboxes that want to be FAST build it from top to bottom front to back... there is usually a fat pricetag!!

man with 20k i'm pretty sure my b*tch would be so fast; i could trade in my wheels and tires for airplane wings ;0

if i had 20k, id totally build a ****** 4 rotor and walk EVERYTHING EVER!!!!

Am I the only person in the forum that thinks high12s-lows 13s isn't fast? Look up 150cc gy6 SCOOTER there's some that are runing 11s in the 1/4 miles=less money over a second faster than a protege in the 1/4 mile. I'm just saying put 20k into just about any car and it will be faster than a protege with the same amount in it

Yes it's without saying that you can obviously get more power from many many other platforms.

Then again I had a goal of as close to 400whp as I could which will eat up just about anything on the road including my bosses $80k 08 Z06 (from a roll any speed!) And possibly at the track with slicks should net me a very low 12 or lower.

I love the looks, styling and room I have for my two boys and their crap with my little P5 over most everything out there new or old.... just needed to catch up on every other aspect of it!!

Point is do you really want to cruise around on some gay ass scooter no matter how fast it is!?

I was usng it as an example. The z06 has 500 hp and a 1/4 mile time of 11.7 according to what I looked up
