The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

those have the summer tires on, the speed 6 wheels have the new winter tires, the drags will have the slicks :)

Would it be cost prohibitive to put the summer tires on the drags and the slicks on the GL's? Or just wait until the tires are used up?

But the Gram Lights are so much nicer I would rather rock those 6 days a week than the Drags.

Gramlights and speed 6 are 18", drags will be 17" to match the contis AND reduce the price for future slicks. I guess my paradas will run out next year, not sure what I'll get after those.

so here's an update, when i paid my deductible they gave me a discount for the wheel that was supposed to be replaced since they couldn't find one. now the insurance is telling me they're replacing the whole set since my wheel/size is discontinued and can't be found. so they're buying 3 wheels and i'll get the 4th with the discount from my deductible. this is what i'm getting once they issue me the check, not the lightest one but i think it looks good and a good price. 17x7.5 which will fit the contis better than 17x7

Not sure what your paying for those but have you looked at:http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=102_103_268_142
Very happy with my rotas for what they are. I have these: http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=5633
They are 17lbs a piece for the 17x8's. They will give you free lugs if you mention you heard of them on the forum.

hmmmm i'll have to think about it, now i don't know if i should replace the set, use it towards a set of 15lbs enkeis or just be responsible and pay the cc i used to pay for all this crap that came up. not sure i wanna roll the fenders to run those (17x8), especially since i'm pretty sure Sahlen's hasn't rolled the fenders on the speed 3, so they should be running 17x7.5 (Sean sent me a spec sheet that recommends running the contis on 8.5 or 9 inch wide wheels). how about these? http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pr...d=262&osCsid=8f8d038d3ca178959704a452fac0b800

<font color="magenta">dude, if you don't have a negative offset, it's not even worth it for you to be alive</font>

Thanks for all the congrats. It's been kinda crazy in a good way all weekend building up to the moment and everything that has happened afterwards.

How about the real deal instead of knock offs.

With the camber your at in the rear rolling won't be necessary. It was not until I set my rear at -.5 that it rubbed. I was thinking of selling my rotas with the Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec's (225/45's) left on them. There rears are slightly cupped from bad toe. But the fronts still have a lot of life left. Make me an offer I can't refuse.....

what size are those? 17x8s? are those the ones you had when i drove it? right now I have the stock alignment (-0.57 front and -1.25 rear @ 3/4 of a tank), i'm keeping the rear as is and set the front to -2 in the spring. how heavy are they? also, what is the distance from the ground to the top of the wheel arc, you might be lower than me. I have 22" front and 24" rear.

17x8, 48mm offset. I think they are 17Lbs? They are two years old. One of them has a scuff on the lip from the guy who mounted the last set of tires. You will be fine in the front and rear, no rubbing. They are off the car now so i can not measure the height. You drove the car with my Enkei PF01's. They are 17x8.5 40mm offset, 245/40r17 Direzza's.

Here is the link to them, same color:http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=5633
Note, mine have one set of holes, they are not multi-holed.

I rolled my fenders, I'd be more than happy to help you out if we can get our hands on a fender roller. I haven't had any issues and the paint isn't cracked at all...Lots of heat and slowly working it into place is the key.

I think you would love 17x8...personally I wouldn't run anything smaller than 8" wide. The difference in traction between my stock 7" and the RX8 8" wheels is night and day, regardless of tire type.
