What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

I let mine idle for a bit in the garage ad shut it off :). Cleaned the windows, because thats all I can really do right now lol.

Yep, on very cold mornings I have to ease the clutch out really slowly too.

This weekend I had the oil changed and I should have had the RustCheck done before the cold snap. I guess I'll just make an appointment for this week and hope that not much road salt gets up in there.

Woke up to snow this morning. So I put the 6 to use once again. Calling for more snow later on in the week and the weekend.. woot woot!!

threw a CEL last night....P0421. my guess is cause it was so cold the cat didn't get to warm up fast enough.

Damn i thought my school blocked it, i was going to be pissed lol.

I recorded myself driving my dads ms6 yesterday but i dont think i want to post it because it was semi boring.. i wanna actually get good at driving stick before i do some go fast s***.

Heh... I was in Scottsdale for a little while. Managed to see only one MS6 while I was out there, but it was a BCM...

what do you mean *BUT* it was a BCM. :p jealous!!! lol :p wb.

Yesterday took advantage of some nice weather and cleaned out the EGR valve. It was incredibly dirty. Where the EGR tube runs up underneath the throttle body was caked with carbon, and crap. I shoved a small screwdriver inside and it felt like I was compacting the stuff! So then scraped it all out and sprayed some parts cleaner in there. It was a good learning experience, and no more CEL! Ran some seafoam through her also. Runs goooood now.

hmm, reminds me i should seafoam and add some injector cleaner. hadnt done much but drive the ms6 lately.
man i hadnt been around for a few days, was goin on folks?

Started car this morning and it died, about 14 degrees with 18 mph winds. Burr! Started car again and revved it to keep it going. Once it got going it stayed running.

Light snow on the ground earlier today also...no big whoop.

+11 degrees here... only about 20 degrees higher than it should be... no big whoop haha

high winds... we'd be having one hell of a snow storm if it were cold!

as far as the car goes... streched its legs on the highway tonight... only to find out at full throttle it suffers an awfull jolt at 5k RPM almost like the car was shutting down it seemed to stop after a few cycles of the ignition, i think it may have been that P2006 code stuck in the memory causing a limp mode effect

disconnect your battery overnight, ensures FULL discharge

All these issues with the cold must be a MS6 thing, my car seems to perform fine (so far) in the bitter WI cold..

you probably got boost/fuel cut. it happens when its cold, do you have an AP or anything to datalog? sometimes the stock fuel pump can't keep up as lower temps equal higher load.

Yep, exactly what happens to me. Reminds me of my old 85' Mustang 5.0 with the holly carb. Kind of sad my 2006 Mazda with at the time advanced technology can't start and stay running the first time.

battery/computer was just reset a few days ago at the dealer (i havent even reset all my radio presets) and like i said, its about 10 degrees outside which is waay warmer than it was been

The emPHAsis was supposed to be on the "was", not the "but". Don't emphasize my "but" without my permission, Chris. (thumb)

30 degrees and cloudy here in Maine. There's no snow in the forecast over the next week. A little frustrating...

I don't seem to have any of the same problems with cold starts (knock on wood). It was 4 degrees here this morning and my car started right up. I added a bottle of Heet last week and it seems to start smoother now, though.

HAHA! no but emphasis allowed? well some people are into that kinda thing... :p

aye, its been sunny in the 70's here in good ol cali. So the long term club plan was to do a malibu cruise this wknd, and an install day the day before. But forecast is now saying rain starts Thursday for several days, WTF, outta the blue. :( oh and on top of bent wheel, im getting some hardcore wheel shake at high speed/hard braking (rotors warped now too!??!) *sigh*.

i never had issues starting my car, than again coldest cali mornings i have ever seen was 30's. lol!
