Can i ask why not? dont tell me it can save life to buy expensive tires please. Cars are so expesnive to maintain, buy parts for it, make it look good, if i can buy as cheap as possible tires, im buying them.

I fit in the catagorie for now, this is the lowest I can go and make it into my driveway/ garage. I already have bids to make a new 2 story 2 car garage at street level so I can drop my car more.

I am changing my rims prior to the 2011 show season, probally not going to go bigger since mine are 18's already. I put a set of 19's on b4 and it looked good but that is the biggest I would go. I dont know what style I am going to go with yet, But they will be gloss black with a chrome lip.

Wow for some reason those 18s of yours look small...you might need to lower it a little then.. 19s will look nice as well

Hmmmmm.....considering that those tires are the only thing keeping your car on the road while traveling down the road....might not be such a good idea to cut corners just because.... Don't get me wrong....I like a good deal just like everyone else but IMO you don't just buy the cheapest tire off the shelf. Do some research....read some reviews....cross shop between multiple brands and when you finally decide on them...do more research to find where you can get them at the best price. I've found that a lot of online tire sites will not shy away from price matching their competitors and then some....
True, but even with my lowly Protege, I'd rather have a set of nice tires that I trust, vs. something that is inexpensive and questionable quality. They may be approved for the road, but there are some economy tires that I wouldn't trust if my life depended on it.

there isn't necessarily anything wrong with cheap tires. just depends on how you drive, where you drive, and what your needs are. they could be perfectly appropriate. i would never take some cheapo tires to the track, but that's a different story...

With the tyres I have on the car, they've been to 3x skidpan days, 1x track day & many mountain runs over the past 18mths/50,000kms, and for what they are, thats pretty good in my opinion. I dont push the limit and know there limitations, so all is good

Ouch man, did you break the mounting tabs? I feel you pain, I was backing out last year and caught a pile of frozen snow and ir ripped one of my mud flaps off, not near as serious as ur tho...
