Yeah I got a set at the house too, very nice look. Just have not started the retro yet. Add that to the list of 1000 projects going at once.

Yeah. Wasn't my car, but I think it was 03 that came with the black housings stock? I can't remember for sure. The cheaper way is definitely to paint them.

This is how I did mine. (7 coats of nitshades). You cant see the blinkers during the daytime but at night there is no problem. Maybe want to stick to 3 coats of you go the niteshades route so the turn signals will still be visible during the day

I would leave em alone or red em out. I thought about faking and making the EDM design by taping em off and painting them. But stock is best IMO. Think its some krylon x-metals paint that u can use as well.
