What have you done to your P5 today?

Ahh. Im on night shift so I guess Ill be seeing you alot often. haha.

EDIT

I dont like night shift.....It gives me time to mess around, and think of things. After the intercooler is in I plan on doing up the exhaust next. I only have headers and a tip right now. Looking at either 2.5" or 3" straight pipe.

Any suggestions?

^^^ Do you have the stock air intake? I didn't look up the code but I don't think an O2 sensor would say "bank 1 too lean". I got a lean code when my intake mani wasn't bolted down tight enough. I've read there are few cats with rips in the accordian section of the stock intake tubing.

^^ interesting thoughts... I do still have the stock intake. I was thinking it was the O2 b/c it was acting the same as it did in my civic when I got the check engine light. Not keeping RPM's, stalling out if I'm not paying attention to the RPM's.

However, I also have to keep the RPM at like 2000 to change gears otherwise the whole freaking car rocks back and forth.... I thought that b/c in my civic it was the second O2 and this one appears to be the first O2 that was causing the difference in performance, but now I'm not sure.

Thoughts? I'm not completely challenged with cars but no where near where I'd like to be...

I agree with Justin2129, remove the air intake hose (the accordion-like one) and carefully inspect it for cracks, that would explain the symptoms you describe.

Yessir, you shall.

I have a nearly straight pipe 3" on the MSM. It sounds really mean, and is a little loud. I like it, but I'm secretly wondering if it's too big for my current application. I know people will tell you that bigger is better on a boosted car, but I have a feeling that just like NA cars, there is a such thing as too big.

Not sure. Not as many as P5 headlight bulbs though, that's for sure. heh-heh

I only ever lost one headlight on my P5. Of course, that's what prompted me to get the HIDs. You used my old bulbs briefly, didn't you?

Actually took te bumper off and looked at how to put the IC together. I was short on time so I only got to mark my cuts, remove the wiper washer bottle. Still deciding if I want to cut there or near the radiator (like the Perrin) I would just Reshape the radiator bracket and cut the two holes. Still not sure how I'm going to to the SC outlet also. That's what's really a pain in the ass.

I think I'm going to have to dedicate a whole day or this. If that's the case I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to do it.

I also got the couplers in. That took forever! Now I just need clamps haha

well that sounds like a vac leak. but im missing my front catalytic converter and im running that code 90% of the time... so possibly you got 2 problems running. I would check for a crack or leak along the air intake and also at the exhaust manifold/cat. Then checking for a vacuum leak wouldnt hurt at all to fix ur rpms

installed MP3 ecu... man... that thing hurt. Cut my hand..even while wearing gloves, but finally got it in there. Havent driven it much..just got to take it on and off the highway...feels good so far.
