these last couple of days ive been messen with some cardboard templets trying to make a nice scoop. not talking about that gay sti s***! or the one that on the new ms3, i was thinging something more closer to the front of the hood.i have metal working and bodywork skills. only thing is i have to cut the stock hood and intercool duct. never seen a speed6 with a hood scoop. what would you do in my shoes?

I'm not a fan, myself. I like the Q-ship status of the MS6, and a hood scoop is a little "loud" for my tastes.

Fiber Images makes a CF hood for the MS6 with a hood scoop. If you check out SU, you can see what it looks like on the car.

try to find a hood from a junk yard and mock one up...may look better than you think...cant hurt to try

the SU one is kinda nice... but i actually like the stock good look best still...

as long as you dont end up looking like this, i say why not:

HAHAHAHAHAHA... ew.

The car all ready does a decent job pulling cold air and channeling it through the grill.

I would invest in a FMIC before I would bother hacking at my stock hood.

Personally, I hate a hoodscoop because it can limit what you see, but I like vented hoods instead.

i want a scoop not a wind tunnel...lol . dont know what this guy was thinkin, looks like lots of drag to me. saw the one from su thats what gave me the idae. but for a $1000 i wounld rather put it into the cars motor. no fmic still under waranty, i like the sleeper look. i will try to take some pics of mock up later today of mockup

I've seen a bunch of people mess with the hood in a couple different ways to try to increase airflow. In most cases, if actually tested, it doesn't improve airflow or performance. there was a big thread somewhere about how the existing high and low pressure areas behave and what improper venting does to them (basically not much), but it was a good example of how the aerodynamics of our car aren't as straightforward as they seem.
