16-17" steelies? What will fit on an MS3 for winter?

Well the last 2 years i just ran OEM wheels with winter tires, but i do not want to pay and extra 60 bucks per tire if i can find a cheap pair of steel wheels that are 16s preferably. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

I picked up a set of 16" steelies with General AltiMax Snow tires for Used for 200 bux......
Pretty good deal since they were only used for 1 year

You were really lucky then. I've got threads here and on the other forum and no one has any for sale.

tirerack has a recommended package that fits.

I just want to know what fits. I know they have stuff for sale. I am just worried about things contacting the brakes. My friend runs a salvage business and can get whatever i want, he just wants to know what type to get or look for so he doesnt buy the wrong part.

16's do fit. But some 16" steelies will hit the calipers (or so I've heard). I bought a set of 4 at Kal Tire in Canada for $45 a wheel and they fit fine

I exchanged messages with a tirerack employee who assured me that the 16"s they sell fit. They test them out on each individual model I guess.
I've heard of issues with other 16's before. I guess if you don't buy from Tirerack or off of someone who has already ran them on an MS3, you're risking it.
