What have you done to your P5 today?

I was looking into pouringy own 90shore urethane bushings when I was doing the endlink group buy. It's actually easy to do. Make a mold, pour it and bake it. That way you can make asany as you want. lol

I think it is obvious what I had done:

I took off my eyelids and removed the yellow film from my fog lights...resprayed my wheels and grill...

I went from this:

I know it's not much but it's different than how it's looked in a long while...

removed a huge amount of parts from the engine bay. All my gauges are gone now too. Swapped the front AWR motor mount with the stock one. Filled the stock one just a little bit with some RTV to prevent tears. Going to swap the passenger and trans mounts with a local tomorrow. It's gonna feel good not having so many vibes in the cabin again.

I removed my AWR inserts this weekend, it feels like I have a new car. I can actually listen to music on the highway without going deaf :P

huh? going def? what do inserts have to do with that

I found that they made the car much louder inside. If I was listening to something before getting on the highway I'd have to crank it up once I was cruising. When I drive around the city I'm always doing about 2k RPM, but on the highway at ~110KM/hr I'm doing a little over 3K RPM which is when the noise would get annoyingly loud (the constant grrrrrrrrrr gets tiring after a while). Without the inserts I barely even have to turn up the radio, it's lovely.

That being said, I do sometimes miss hearing the engine, it made such a nice sound at 4-5K RPM :)

i guess i never noticed, my car makes so many noises i just turn up the music till i dont hear them anymore haha

I didn't think they made much of a difference until I took them out, it was like night and day. The funny thing is, the car isn't really any worse to drive. Sure, the engine might move around a little more but for the way I drive (low and slow) it doesn't bother me. I still have the AWR front mount in and am thinking of changing that back to stock as well, I saw rockauto has them for less than $30...

put in my new passenger motor mount and put awr inserts into it and the transmission mount. a little vibey but not anything horrible. feels a lot nicer though!

Can you say...06 Civic...hehe...pretty sure I am going to be a bit more active on Clubcivic...gotta call insurance and make sure it all works out...

Lol...keeping the Miata and P5...my mom is wanting to get an Accord and willing to sell me here Civic for payoff which is $6500...I could sell the turbo parts I have for around $2000 putting the car at $4500...for a Certified 06 Civic Ex Loaded w/Nav that has 65,000 miles on it as well as another 35,000 warranty I would say that is a HELL of a deal...and most definitely would be worth sacrificing the turbo kit for the P5...

Spending all day tomorrow fine tuning the SSAFC map that I have. Getting everything ready for November. Planning to hit up the dyno with my new parts. Things different from last pull (160hp)

New map

Won't be able to do it till noveber since I'm leaving for Florida next sat. While I'm there I'll be filling up my suit case with junkyard parts...=)
