18x10 +44 235/40 Falken Ziex 512's (needs to be replaced)
18x8 +43 (+28 w/ 15mm spacer) 225/40 Federal 595's (usually one size wider than it's rated)

Still trying to get the fitment just right. Needs new tires in the rear, tinkering around with spacers/tire fitment/camber in the front, and powdercoat the faces. After that I'll be golden. They've already gotten me pulled over this past week and ended up with a $70 ticket. The officer asked me if I rubbed...

HRS 286-85 No Reconstruction Permit.

It's a law enforced on Oahu that deals with modifications made to your car. Essentially, my problem was that my camber was too far out of stock specs and my car is too low. I had more typed out but then clicked to quote your reply and it all got erased.
 
this is addressed to p5 owners (or p5 knowledgable) who like/test/knowabout rim clearance

i might be pickin up 17x9.5 +30


i know funks rears are 17x9 +10
and his fronts are +30

so, if i go .5" wider, thats about 12mm total, which would be 6mm to each side
so if i was +10 like funk, i'd be 6mm more in and out, (u with me?)
but since its +30, itd be like having a 17x9 with a +36 offset (as far as strut clearance is concerned)
for poke, it'd be like a 17x9 +24
because its 6mm to each side
adding 6mm to the outside of the rim would subtract the "added width" from the theoretical offset
and adding 6mm to the inside of the rim would be adding to the theoretical offset...

get it? (i think this makes sense lol)

my question is,
will i hit strut?

ps: im not look for "hate" opinions...(jerkit)
 
uhh it'll be pretty close, my brother has 17x8.5 +25 and there isnt much room between the strut, did the math and it would be an extra 18mm inside and extend an extra 8mm
i wouldnt do it (unless u have the rims to test fit), thats going to be poking a good 10-13mm from the fender so you'd have to run some pretty decent camber
