So, I promised my self to get one of the following when I reach a certain goal with my $$$ in the bank.

I was thinking of getting the COBB AP or the Corksport Catback Dual Exhaust, but I just cant make up my mind...so thats where you guys come in :D

Which would you take over the other, and why? My idea is...the AP will get me more bang for the buck(headbang), but the exhaust will get me some power(if any?) and it will give me that sweet sound(friday)...

Right now all I got on the car is a PG Full intake.

So what do you guys think? If you had to choose one, which would you take?

ap for sure. when i got mine-way later in the build- i wish i would have got it first. it makes a huge difference. car pulls harder and power doesnt fall off so sharply after 5.5k.
right now your prolly shifting at 5.5k after the ap you can safely take it to 6.2k or so b4 you feel the power drop off.

flat foot shifting and launch control are freakin awesome too. much smoother wot shifting.

i want a cat back too. but it just makes sound. thats why i still dont have one. you can see in my sig, my mods are all about substance. thats my 2 pennies.

how much you got to work with? can you squeeze a motor mount in there. it would be very much worth it.

Well the Catback is $699 right Now, and if i decided to get the AP i should be able to get the mount as well. I will eventully be getting the exhaust too, and My mind is pretty much set on the CorkSport.

catback is very very minimal gain if any, all the power to be gained is in a downpipe... get the AP, no question in this decision...

AP first, no doubt about it.
wish i woulda done that first too!

i lub all my mods, but i really really need a tuning solution.
now taht i cant afford s*** till i save again, wish i coulda done it the other way around, ap first, parts after. lol

I bought the AP, and I guess I don't see all the power, but I know it's there.

Then again, I added a couple parts (TIP and BPV) so I think I gotta change the map...

you get more out of the hard parts when you can tune and adjust accordingly.

running the right map is crucial as is datalogging and learning to read and interpret the data. given those two mods you could probably get away with just running the ots maps. i would still datalog to at least see what your a/f's are and how much correction the stft's and ltft's are making. but thats another story.

Well you guys sure are making this an easy decision...(bowdown)

knowing what i know now, engine management is a must.

get an AP. without a doubt better for the money..with tuning, monitoring, checking and clearing codes that you would usually have to take the the dealer. Its a kickass thing to have.
