What have you done to your MP3 today???

Got mine back from the paint shop a couple weeks ago. Been lazy about posting pics. Here's a taste, for the rest go to the "Post pics of your MP3" thread

Rear end looks really good. I like how you did your tails. You should PC those wheels... White or a really dark bronze, maybe?

I've got a friend working on a spare wheel I have. He's sanding the curb rash and painting it Rustoleum midnight black (more like a really dark gray with flake). I'll most likely redo the calipers in blue too. If the one wheel turns out good I'll be doing all of em. I may PC though cause I just found a shop that does $45 per wheel. Have to check their color selection.

Sounds like you've got a good plan. (thumb)

I'm currently trying to figure out how I can purchase a new set of wheels very soon. Mp3 wheels will turn into winters. Its just unnecessary how heavy they are. lol

Turned my SRI into a CAI, re-installed my ladder bar, and beat the snot out of it at our Canadian Autocross Nationals:

Nice. Super light-weight; like 11lbs @ 15x7, right?. I'm in the middle of working out a deal on a set of Traklites, right now. Forged, light goodness. :D

13.8 iirc. Still a ton lighter then stocks, and I can't complain considering what I paid for them

Fair enough. The 17x7 Kosei's weigh ~14.5, IIRC. I was just gauging off of that. I'm trying to get a set of 17x8 Traklites; they weigh in @ 6.7kg/14.8 lbs. :D

So, having trouble getting these screws out to separate this IAC from the Throttle Body... I got one to come out, but the other's are not moving at all. Tried numerous different phillips bits. PB Blasted them and let it sit last night after I got tired of trying to keep a screw driver from slipping. Screws are a dumb idea there, why would you use ******* screws w/ what looks to be a lock washer underneath? Hex bolts would have been much easier. The IAC screws are seized on both the throttle bodies I have. How have you guys gotten them off? I'm gonna try to cut slots in the screws so I can use a flathead screw driver on them, but I'm about out of ideas.

vice grips, had to do it on my egr valve

Vice grips can't really get in to those 2 screws against the valve. That was one of the first things I tried. Maybe I could go buy a small pair of vice grips, I guess. I still don't know if I could get a grip on them tho... The screws on the egr are much more open.

they have smaller ones, and i saw some needle nose vise grips the other day...i thought they were pretty cool when i saw them

I'll make a stop by Home Depot & Harbor Freight tmrw, if I have time. Needlenose Vice grips sound like they'd be handy to have around...

Installed new rear sway bar endlinks. When I bought the car it had a broken one, so I removed it completely. Finally got around to replacing both and WOW, can't believe what a difference it made. I thought the car handled well before, now I've been impressed all over again.
