Well, I was out driving tonight and just got doing a lil rubber burning, pulled up to take a right onto a street and hit 2 MPH and I find a girl and her bicycle on the hood of my car. She and the bike land about 2 feet out in front of me and a cop (who saw the whole thing) pulls up infront of me blocking traffic like I'm going to drive off or something. Turns out she's fine just a scratch and I end up driving off with a 150 dollar ticket for "Improper Exiting of a Driveway". She was wearing all black, black bike (no reflectors). Cars fine for all those wondering, but just not happy with the 150 bucks I now have to shell out!

You should hope you don't get sued by the girls' parents...that'll be a lot more than $150.

Also, if you need to sell something to come up with a measly $150 quickly perhaps you're living beyond your means having a modified car and all.

man mike whats with the attitude. the chick was blacked out. she was wrong for that.
i've been in her position once. except it was a BK parking lot. she'll get over it lol. he didh her a favor and taught her a lesson lol jp. kyros what other parts you got? lol

Doesn't matter. You hit a pedestrian, cyclist, whatever, it's on you. Always.

yeah... thats one thing I dont understand. You can literally have police playing in the middle of the ******* highway in full traffic moving at 70-ish mph. If he decides to jump out and say stop and you hit him its your fault some how... Almost like playing frogger with police men and yet its the cars fault they get hit... i will never understand that. Yes they do that s*** here in the middle of the night on the highway.

This is a reminder for me that even though these things happen, and this was an accident, we need to be especially careful and selective when we decide to open up the throttle...do burnouts...whatever. The consequence and liabilities for us are much greater in a higher performance car.

I accept it was my fault. Just really surprised me. And I am selling because I was going to start parting out anyways. Thanks for your concern though.

Ok so what was the "improper exiting?" Was it-

not using a turn signal?

not coming to a complete stop before you turned?

not looking both ways?

I agree with Mike.

I doubt the police are "playing in the middle of the ******* highway"

It's your fault because you should always be traveling at a safe rate of speed for the conditions. Most people apply this only to snow + ice conditions, but it also applies to accident scenes, road work areas, etc.

Besides, our MS3's have huge brakes, use em!
:)

that's standard procedure. hit and runs like that are very common.

LOL... I hit a drunk guy on his bike at night one time. He got ticketed for not having reflectors. The cop didn't do anything to me
