Hey Kauai, what is the effective offset of those wheels? after spacers
im thinkin about getting 17x8 wheels but the offset im looking at doesnt really sound that aggressive at all, so i need something to compare

You can fit a 17x9, but it's not going to be easy. You can fit whatever you want, but whether or not it will look good after you go widebody fenders to fit a 17x9.5 is another story.

What offset are you looking at?

Haha, that's funny. Glad to see my thoughts being backed up... Because the wheels I'm looking to buy will be 17x8 +43. ;)
I'm running +47, so yeah, with a little work you should be able to run it. without it looking absurd. what tire width are you shooting for?

I have 225/35's front and 215/35's rear
Will be eventually 235/40 and 225/35 if I can squeeze them in there

Nice, it shouldn't be too bad. You may may rub your fender liner in the front when you make really tight turns; but front fitment should be easy. The rear will probably just need a gingerly pull on the quarter panels. Might not want those 5mm spacers with those wider tires, tho.
