Installing my wheels again. Curbed one of the rpf1s and I had it repaired this week. Taping up the front end with painters tape for a road trip to Dallas for the cupcake meet!
Locals should look out for my all Mazda crew Project M.

Pretty sure I introduced my engine to the firewall or another wall of the engine bay for the first time today, scared the crap out of me. Sounded just like when the intake used to pop off my Evo when it got cold. Time for a motor mount I guess. Probably gonna try the $4 apoxy mod first though and see how that goes. Always have a hell of a time getting it into 3rd when i'm WOT anyways, so we'll see if that helps.

well I don't really drive the car hard much anymore since I have the bike now, so when i'm driving the car it's usually because i have my son with me or it's raining lol. So i'm just looking for something right now that will stiffen it up a bit but not give me too much extra vibrating in the car with the wife and kid in there lol. So i'm probably just gonna try the "fill the stocker mod" or I think I read that the cp-e 60 one was pretty good on the vibs

I went to the epoxy mount after having two different hard aftermarket mounts. Its perfect for me, doesn't vibrate when idling and it is a lot stiffer than the stock mount.

Do you have a link ?

today i added 20mm ichiba V2 hubcentric bolt on spacers to my MX-5s. had to drill out the cavities in the rear to get the stock studs to fit behind the wheel. they make a huge difference with the fitment. from +55 to +35. could have even gone with 25mm spacers.

The light was from an LED flashlight

Ill try and get some sound clips but the forcast today is thunderstorms all day. Cbe is the only exhaust mod right now. Its actually quieter than stock. Has no drone whatsoever. Just a deeper tone with that nice burble during decel.

no, i like them both for different reasons! they both have their pros and cons. actually just figured out the weight today.

RX-8 with 235/40 = 50lbs each
wheel = 23lbs, tire = 27lbs

MX-5 with 215/45 = 39lbs each
wheel = 17lbs, tire = 22lbs

traction is better with the RX-8s and 235s, but my car is faster with the MX-5s and 215s. i can definitely tell the difference...

Just did the epoxy RMM mod. Had the hardest time getting that thing back in there. Even wedged my breaker bar in there to try to pry the trans forward more, but ended up having to pull out 2 of the 3 bolts of the piece connects the trans to the actual mount so I could get it in there lol. Oh well... test drive on the way to work in the morning!
