Hi All,

I used to own a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 in 2008 which I bought brand new. Which was traded in on a Z06. Which was sold, then a purchased a firehawk, which was sold for a CLK55 AMG. Had a 99 SHO for daily then sold for a corolla in turn was sold for an SRT-4. Sold the AMG in april. And decided to look for a car that would have some luxury, speed and awd. Now the SRT-4 will be up for sale. Yay for only needing 1 car.

I was mostly looking at 3 cars.
2004-2005 Audi S4
Legacy GT Limited 5MT/ Spec B
Mazdaspeed 6

Let me just say the used car market is horrible. Everything is beat or has paint work. Found 04 S4 with 35k on it for 25k +TTL. Then had to buy a warranty, 2500 there. (Had paint work as well.)

Then found a 40k mile legacy GT 5mt 2006. Needed about 1k worth of body work. wouldn't go lower than 17k +TTL. Give me a break.

Then I was about to give up. I was autotrader looking for a MS6 GT, and kept seeing a MS6 sport with 25k on it. Looked nice. SO i said to myself, i can do without leather and such. I click the pic, and sure enough its mis labeled. It's a GT. Has every option on it except navigation.

Bought it the same day.

2006 Liquid Platinum Mazdaspeed6 GT
Car is immaculate. Only one little abrasion on one of the wheels thats it. No paint work, clean carfax, 1 owner. It as close to brand new as you can get for a 4 year old car and still under factory warranty till the end of the year. I love the car, much better than the Legacy overall and cheaper to boot. All the legacy has going for it is the boxer sound, and better clutch engagement.

Found out the next day that is also has a magnaflow catback. (naughty)

Just thought I would share.

PS> Is there a media player jack in this car somewhere? I see it has the media button, but cannot find a jack. My MS3 had one in the center console.

Wow, you go through cars faster then even me! Mine has the button but no jack, though mine is a sport -- im pretty sure the GT should have one. I have the magnaflow exhaust too. i think it sounds really nice outside of the car, but i hate the drone from inside the car.

Yes, I do go through cars rather quickly. I had my MS3 for 10 months, thats a long time for me. The MS6 is car number 48.

Ive had the speed 6 two years now, which is almost a record for me. im 28 and have had i think 18 cars and 6 bikes. Three cars lasted two years were 1986 300zx, 2000 trans am, and this speed 6.

Its funny i never liked Fbodies and had two of them. still dont like them, but love the LS1. I really miss my 300zx and my 01 Audi S4 biturbo

Not bad at all. I wish i could say I never paid over 20k for a car. BUt its not the case. Most expensive car was my M3 at $56,000 in 2001. At the time it was a good deal. The was a waiting list and they were going for 10k over sticker. Payment was 996 a month. Never again will i pay over 30k for anything short of a 911 turbo.

Do anything fun to the S4?

I lived with my parents until i was 25 because the food was good, i had all the freedom i wanted and didnt have to pay rent/mortage so someone that only makes $15 an hour could afford two cars and a bike

I am paying $500 a month for my speed 6 because i rolled negative equity into it and its killing me... i dont want to refianance because then ill never pay it off.

With the audi S4 only plans I had was catback and a chip. It was bone stock, extremely clean. It was my favorite car of anything ive owned/driven... before driving an S4 i never cared for them -- they are so subtle they stay under the radar-- subtle but classy.

Yup 4 of them. On my 05 I just did very little 700 dollars in mods I ran 13.6@107 on street tires.

They are fun, cheap to own and mod but time to move on. And it is wierd me getting out of the neon in a suit that can be heard from 2 blocks away.

300zx. Had one. Loved it. Had 100k on it when I got rid of it. Unfortunately it was a 1990 and suffered from the dreaded head issue. Sold it for what I bought it for two years later. Don't see many anymore and if you do, they are pretty ragged. Most of the TT's are garage queens now.

I had my 99 Z28 A4 at the same time as the cobra. I drove the Z more than the Cobra. The Cobra is fast, but its a drag to drive every day. Clutch takes like a 100lbs of force and the shifting to 3rd is akward IMO. Still liked it though, just not as everyday car. My 2004 Z06 was faster was around the same money, and was a blast to drive. Could drive it as a daily with ease. I plan on buying another once once I pay off the MS6.

On the local SVT board, some guy just sold his 23k Mile 03 Cobra in great shape for 21k USD.(drive)
