Oh snap. Fer reelz? Damn. I may put another muffler in the exhaust too. (five-0)

Hahaha. Yeah, I don't know how legit it was. I was asking him about a few things and he mentioned that. I say add the cat and screw the rest. If they pull you over, then you know it's loud.

I made an oil catch can last week using Home Depot parts that cost all of $20.

And I took a pic this morning at work.

Look at Mr. Photography here! Car looks awesome!

Would you care to share the secrets in making a catch can for $20? I need one ASAP-damn smoking turbo...

For an MS3, you're going to need to tow one of these behind your car...

Hehehehe, I made a funny.

Gawd, it becomes his birthday and he thinks he can turn into a diva

PS--I am enjoying spamming Evan's build thread, hehe!

Hahahaha. Sorry... the Miata is what started it...

Ya know I have a catch can from my car just sitting in my garage collecting dust now you could have had.

Ooooh, may I still have it? How much $ do you want for it?

Mr. Photography I am not, that was shot with my cell phone. Haha
And hell yeah, bring your MS3 over sometime after 5pm and we'll get you all set up.

Yeah, you better quiet that thing down... the cops were over last night, but your bedroom door was shut and the TV was loud so you were either a) too busy to hear me or b) I didn't yell loud enough.

Anyway, someone called the cops on someone shooting fireworks and they thought it was us. Cop said that he's gotten a few complaints about the silver car in the road with the loud exhaust. I know for sure it isn't mine... hahaha.

^I think you'll be fine with just the cat. That should quiet it down considerably. And it should get rid of a lot of the raspiness.

As for the rear mount, did you just have trouble with the 2 nuts closest to the firewall? I didn't even use an impact when I did mine. Just a breaker bar and a few universal joints. I shattered 2 universal joints into pieces during that install, lol.

O and on the topic of catch cans, I just saw Iukeuni post this:

Man, I want your wheels. You tired of them yet? (lol2)

I don't think they're aggressive enough for you :p

Eh, they are 17x7 +42 right?

I run 17x7 +40 now, after you factor in the 15mm spacer on the Stock +55 RH's.

If I went out and bought new wheels right now, I would look for a 16x8 ~+40. I just love rpf1's, lol. And I'm tired of the cinder blocks that I have for wheels right now...

Enkei's new PF01's are gnarly, tho. I would love to pick up a set of those. Too bad they only make a 16x7... 17x8 +45/+35 would work tho. +35 I would have to run a bit more camber than I would like, but... ;)

17x7 +45

With a 215/45R17 tire that is the lowest offset you can go with a 7" wide wheel without starting some extreme stuff with camber, fender rolling, etc.

You have room to run bigger tires in the front @ +45. The back will rub @ roughly +42, with 215/45 tho. Right now I have 215/45/17 in the rear on 17x7 +40 & 225/45/17 in the front on 17x7 +40. Mild fender roll in the rear & -2.0 camber all around. Definitely wouldn't call it extreme. I do get slight rubs from the rear if I take a corner hard with someone in the backseat, tho. But I don't have people in my backseat too often. lol

16x8 +42 would be perfect for me. (2thumbs) 225/45/16 in front & 215/45/16 in rear. I need to stop talking about this, lol. Makes me want to go max out a credit card. (headshake

I certainly hope the cat will quiet it down some. I like down shifting and letting the clutch out slowly to get the gurgles and pops, but it's just too bloody loud under even half throttle.

I got 2 of the motor mount bolts loose, just one nearest the firewall wouldn't budge. Mostly because I couldn't get my impact straight on it without running the risk of stripping it. I didn't know Phen had a 1/2" universal joint in his tool box right next to mine. Haha! I'm going to pull the intake mani friday night and soak the bolts friday night and saturday morning. Hopefully that will help. But worse case scenario, I'll put the CorkSport insert in.

That catch can looks like poop. Haha! That cat get mad respect from me for his V6 swap but I'd rather spend a few bucks and get a prettier catch can. Here's how mine is set up, however I replaces the tubing in the pic with 3/8" heavy duty clear tubing because the original stuff was collapsing under pressure.

And no, you can't have my wheels, Steve. I've wanted these wheels since I starting modding my CRX 11 years ago. The Enkei RPF1's and Racing Hart CPO-35's were my favorite. I got a great deal from Jon and sold my acoustic upright bass to buy them. So I'll keep them a long time. And don't worry, Jon, I keep 'em clean!

Hmm, 225/45-17 in the front, eh? I'll have to try that next spring when I buy new tires. I rubbed a little with a passenger in the front and any weight in the rear before I rolled my fenders correctly this spring. But I'm not running much negative camber. Probably pretty close to stock specs for my camber and alignment. But now it doesn't rub with 3 people in the car. But I rarely use my back seat too.

You have good taste in wheels. ;)

Eh... keep with the standard sizes...

I'm just soooo glad I didn't pull the trigger on some MSP wheels when I was looking for some wheels. Phen has a set in the garage and was like "Here, pick these up. They are heavy as hell.". I'm spoiled now that I've had these Enkeis, they're so light.

I do feel bad they're being wasted on a slow 115whp wagon, but I'll track them this month at Mid-Ohio for 30 mins. They really should see more track/auto-x time, I feel like a poser.

I don't see you posting in the Slammed thread... you're fine.

Oh s***... that's gonna piss them off when they see this. No... no they won't. They follow their own lifestyle, and the performance driving folks follow theirs. And normally, everyone co-exists, talking about each other behind the others backs in peace.
